It was a short vacation, we drive from Penang to Ipoh. It took us about 3 hours to reach Ipoh. We visited Foh Sun for our breakfast of course! The Dim Sum is just too good 🙌

Mirror Lake
Tasik Cermin is a beautiful destination to visit when in Ipoh. The view is absolutely stunning and the calmness inside the cave is impressive, as there is no echo due to the surrounding hills.
The lake is beautiful, but don't expect a perfect mirror reflection as the water ripples like any other typical lake. Nonetheless, it is still very picturesque and worth a visit.
Overall, it's a great place to appreciate the natural beauty of Ipoh.

Coffeeshop located in a cave?!
It is more of a kopitiam by the cave instead of in the cave. Get a queue number first and wait for number to be called. There are seats and benches placed under shelter for the wait. Was there at about 10am and waited for about 20 mins for a table of 5.
Had the iced white coffee which was fragrant and slightly sweet. Dishes we ordered were kaya butter toasts, butter sugar toasts, kaya toasts, prawn rolls, fried wantons and fried rice.
We all agreed that other than the fried rice, the rest of the dishes were good. Fried rice is slightly disappointing as it is more of a fried shallot rice without wok hei.
5 stars still given for this place as it is still a nice tourist experience and food is not bad. Service staffs were efficient.#ipoh #ipohcafe #foodie

Breathtaking view in Tasik Cermin
Tasik Cermin is a must visit tourist spot in Ipoh. I love that we have to enter a cave tunnel and walk along it before we can finally reach the lake that offers amazing green scenery. There is a platform for visitors to take pictures. It is advisable to avoid visiting this place during school holiday as the platform is packed with crowd. The ticket price is very cheap and parking spaces are abundant. They also offer boat trip for those who want to explore Tasik Cermin.

Ipoh Trip
Ipoh is an old history town. We planned to visit it as part of our family trip as we never visit it before.
We checked in M Boutique Hotel, it is a 3-star hotel, price is not that cheap but location is good, it is near to the famous Concubine lane which you can find lots of delicious food there.
We visited Tasik Cermin and Qing Xin Lin leisure and cultural village. I highly recommend you to visit Qing Xin Lin as it is full of surprised to us. My kids enjoyed feeding the ducks and geese inside the village.
The bicycle, tricycle and all kind of transportation you can find in the village are free-of-charge.#mytripvlog

Nice and chilling place to visit when you're traveling in Ipoh, Perak. The reflection of the mirror lake view is spectacular depends on the weather and the wind that day. Never miss out to take a photo when you're in this place. Nothing much to do now but i'm sure in the next few years this place gonna get more attraction included indeed! #bucketlistreboot

Tasik Cermin is a hidden gem in Ipoh that you should totally explore.. Literally translated as “Mirror Lake”, Tasik Cermin is tucked in between the many limestone karst formations that are synonymous with the city that is Ipoh in Perak, Malaysia. If you don’t already know, these limestone hills have earned the city the nickname “Guilin of Malaysia”!
Tasik Cermin is situated in Gunung Rapat, a 20-minute drive from the heart of Ipoh. The neighbouring location used to be an active quarry that has thankfully minimized its operations.
If you find yourself looking at an abandoned house upon arrival, you’re on the right track. Park your car and chances are you’d be approached by an unofficial parking attendant whom you will have to pay your “parking fees” of RM5 to.
Walk further down off the beaten path until you reach a dark tunnel opening. The 50-meter long tunnel might be a tad bit scary but just walk towards the light at the end of the tunnel.

Mirror Lake Ipoh
Ipoh, State capital of Perak, Malaysia. The lake is located in midst of several limestone mountains. The only way to access to lake is via a short walk around 100 meters long former ‘Miner Tunnel’. The huge tunnel was excavated by Hakka Chinese miners to extract#songkran2024 #lake iron ore and now has been used to access the lake. The lake once an industrial mining site and has been transformed in recent years to tourist attractions in Ipoh.

Mirror lake
Went there last week. Super crowded because it was a school holiday week. My timing wasn’t good. But it was nice seeing the nature. There’s two lake actually. I would suggest to go to the second lake because it’s more interesting but still affordable. Maybe go there early and don’t have to wait for a long time.

An enjoyable trip to ipoh
Ipoh has lots of nice food and good places to visit. I visited the tasik cermin 2, sit on a boat to go inside the tasik. It is very beautiful and peaceful inside. Totally worth for a visit! Suitable for family trip as well. I enjoyed my moments in ipoh. I tried the tau fu hua, it is very smooth and tasty. The coffee in ipoh is nice too! Do try out Chang Jiang White Coffee, my friend said it is the best coffee in town!

A Limstone Adventure here in Tasik Cermin
#malaysia #limestone #history #adventurous #mirrorlake
Ipoh has loads of attractions located somewhat still in close proximity to the town centre. One should visit the Tasik Cermin which is located at Tasik Cermin, 31350 Ipoh.
Tasik Cermin, also known as mirror lake is very popular among tourists as you will be able to see high giant like limestones surrounding the entire lake. Therefore I recommend you to get onto one the boat which will take a 25mins ride around the lake to showcase to you the magnificent limestones.
The walk also is an educational walk as it displays the past on how the tunnels were built and the reason for the creation of these tunnels during the British Eras.

📍 Tasik Cermin, 31350 Ipoh, Perak.
This is one of the most spectacular place I have been to. One of the hidden gem in Ipoh that everyone should explore.
There are 2 sites, Tasik Cermin 1 and 2.
📌Tasik Cermin 1 - You can rent for a boat and explore the lake. Entrance fee also will be pay here.
📌 Tasik Cermin 2 - You can take some rest at their cafe and order some beverages from there.
How to get there:
1. By Grab
This is the most better option, especially if the driver are locally from Ipoh. Because, the road a little tricky because less signage and you might be lost🤣.
2. By Car
Another reasonable option but need a lot of patient. The traffic quite bad at this area, and very tricky to get here. Just slowly drive if you don’t want to missed the junction.

Amazing view at Tasik Cermin 1 in Ipoh Perak
The entrance fee ticket is Rm4. The area for the train parking is very large. the cleanliness in the lake area is also very well maintained. if you want to take beautiful photos you need to come on weekday. it is because the mirror lake area is not big.before you see the mirror lake, you will pass through one tunnel that has lights.coming in the morning may be suitable because this lake area is a bit hot at noon.#tasikcermin #ipohperak

The hidden beauty of the lake
This lake is actually close to Kampung Gunung Rapat. The position of this mirror lake is a bit deep and we have to pass through private land first before we can get to this mirror lake. A RM10 fee is charged by the company (quarry company) for each vehicle that passes through this land before you can arrive at mirror lake. After reaching the mirror lake area, we have to pay more money to enter here. The entrance fee is around RM2 per person.
It is suggested that you come here when the weather is good because if you come when it is raining, you may not see a good mirror effect or reflection. For example when the water is turbulent or maybe the surface of the water is affected by rain spots. So the image from the environment does not appear clearly on the surface of the water.

Tea beside the cave
Tea time next to Ipoh cave. The place is on the way leaving Ipoh, towards Simpang Pulai. It's super hot, luckily there were lots of cooling fan around, we still enjoy the environment though. Good local coffee. Great kaya butter toast. You can buy the premix coffee there too, varieties of local white and black coffee. While waiting, go for a short explore in the cave.

Getting There - by car within 30mins from town
Attractions - scenic lake view passing by a limestone tunnel with boat ride at the lake for RM25/pax
Food & Restaurants - some snacks and vending machine available
driving to the mirror lake is a challenge itself as it was a bumpy ride but not a big problem. upon reaching you can see on your right there’s a small booth for boat ride booking - don’t worry you are able to still book a ride inside. entrance fee is RM4 for Malaysians and RM8 for non Malaysians, same price for kids/ adults. there are some small vending machines selling drinks and popcorn stall selling snacks if you need some quick bite. when you enter you need to pass by a 20m tunnel and you can catch some good pic there. out of the tunnel is what is featured for this attraction. you may consider taking boat ride to go further in to see the another part of mirror lake. if you are into greens or scenic view this is the place for you during your visit :)

Tasik Cermin, Ipoh: Reflections
A nice place for a quick visit. Beautiful lake view. You will walk through a short 'terowong' before reaching the lake view.
There is not much to explore, but getting on the boat ride around the lake was a nice experience (although my legs are shaking 😅)
It is easy to get there by car, parking is spacious, and the washroom is well maintained.
