Emperor Khai Dinh's tomb, former Imperial City of Hue
#tripblazers
The last monarch dynasty of Vietnam is also the dynasty ruled by the Nguyen royal family. This tomb belongs to the second last Emperor Khai Dinh of Vietnam, who ruled Vietnam from 1916 to 1925. The tomb was not completed upon his death, but only in 1931 during Emperor Bao Dai's reign who is also the last Emperor of Vietnam. The mausoleum is mainly designed based on the porcelain art with the statue erected directly above his tomb. Due to the modern times of his reign, his tomb is mainly designed based on Neoclassical, Baroque and Gothic elements. The tomb is also listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Site together with other structures within the Hue complex.

The Tomb of The 12th Emperor!
#celebratewithtrip
Khai Dinh Tomb is a part of the Complex of Hue Monuments, recognized as World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1993. It is located in Chau Chu Mountain about 10km away from Hue City, Vietnam. It is the burial place of the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty. It is the longest built, most expensive, most sophisticated and the strangest of all 7 royal tombs in Hue. This historical attraction is accessible by every vehicle. We rented a motorbike going there since it is the most convenient and cheaper way in Vietnam. The weather was chilly which was comfortable to explore Hue City. It is one of the most interesting cities in Vietnam in terms of culture and traditions.

Hue- Khai Dinh Tomb
One historical site to visit if you are in Hue.
There is a fee of VND15k. If you wish to have more information the guide on site is always available for small fee.
Most of the features follow Chinese emperors, with a set of terracotta’s in front of the tomb.
this will leave you wondering , are there originated from ancient Chinese dynasty that are located in Hue. The feature is also based on dragon .
This is only one of the tombs which I was suggested the nicest. There are more different tombs around Hue area with different layout which I have skipped .
Not even sure then actual person is laying at tomb.

Personally, it was my favorite spot in Vietnam.
Although it gave a strong impression of Chinese culture, this building also incorporates elements of French style.
