Alpen Gästehaus
#CelebrateWithTrip
One of the apartments that we rented during our road trip around the Alps was the Alpen Gästehaus in Bad Kohlgrub a 40 minutes drive from Garmisch-Partenkirchen center.
A simple apartment that caters to all the basic needs for an overnight stay. It has a cute kitchen, so we were able to make some instant ramen and we also had the chance to re-heat our leftover food.
The apartment was cozy, the beds were comfortable and the apartment was spacious enough for 4 people.
The price that we paid was reasonable and breakfast was included.
The breakfast was composed of bread, cheese, cold cuts, boiled eggs, different flavoured yoghurt, different cereals, tomatoes, cucumbers different juices, milk, coffee and tea. It was more than enough to fill our stomach and recharge our energy for the day.
The owner who served our breakfast was very friendly and very approachable.
Alpen Gästehaus is a nice place to stay especially for ski holidays because it is near the skiing spots in the alps.

Going to meet the 7 dwarfs 😅
#spooktaculartrip
We visited Partnachklamm a wonder of nature in Garmisch-Partenkirchen during our autumn break. We entered a kind of cave and walked on a dark and wet path. Water showered us from the falls that made us a bit soaked but it was refreshing. The water felt clean, the sound of cascades were like raindrops.
We walked on a tight path leading us to a wonderful sight of waterfalls that met the sun.
The view was marvelous! It was like in a fairy tale movie Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs.
It was like going in a mining cave of the 7 dwarfs. The place was beautiful! Walking up to the hilly woods and the rough paths were kind an adventure for us. We did not have the right outfit for that event but we definitely enjoyed the experience 🤩
If you want to visit Partnachklamm, wear your rain jacket, rain boots, bring a good camera to capture the beautiful sights and views!

During our visit to Zugspitze, one of the things that captured my interest was their museum, entrance was free as it was already included in our train tickets.
It was nice looking at the old pictures and memorabilias and see the then and now of Zugspitze.
The captions and the pictures as well as the story were very helpful for the first time visitors to know how the rail tracks was built and how did the train operated before during that time.
The pictures were captured well and were very realistic. It was amazing to see how rustic the way the construction standards before compared to now.
Looking at the construction workers, the engineers their sleeping cabins, the train staff and the tourists, one can‘t help but appreciate how they worked hard, for us to enjoy such amazing nature and view.
Zugspitze is a wonderful place to visit ❤️

A small town in the Alps
#spooktaculartrip #tripblazers #fallingforfall
Bad Kohlgrub was the place where we stayed for the night before we went to Zugspitze. We stayed in a small apartment, left our stuff and went out for a walk after a long drive to stretch our legs and body for sitting so long.
Bad Kohlgrub was really quiet especially at the park. The place beautiful with logs of trees, plants and flowers around. The town has stores where you can buy your daily necessities. It has restaurants too, a library and a well maintained stage for important occasions like festivals and dance.
The small town is somewhat popular for ski tourists. They stayed at the apartments for rent during their ski holidays since Bad Kohlgrub is near from some skiing spots.
Bad Kohlgrub is a 40 minutes drive from Garmisch-Partenkirchen center.

Autumn-Trip to Königssee in Bavaria
Königssee (in English Kings-Lake) is probably one of the nicest places in Germany and Bavaria. It's in the very south of Bavaria, in the German Alps. Lake Königssee is part of the Berchtesgaden National Park and a perfect hike with your friends or family. 🏞️
📍The easiest way to visit Königssee is by car and parking (for a fee) is available. Königssee is located within Berchtesgaden National Park and is located about 2 hours from the Munich Airport and 30 minutes from the Salzburg airport. If you don’t have a car, there are buses running from Berchtesgaden and Salzburg.

Beautiful English Garden in Munich
The English Garden or in German, Englischer Garten, is the biggest park in the center of Munich in Bavaria, Germany.
It's been there since ever and is a famous spot for weekend walks and nature within the big city. Now in autumn, there are many yellow and golden leaves, so beautiful. 🍂 But also in summer, spring and even winter the garden is worth a visit!
📍 Englischer Garten, Munich (München)
🎟️ The entrance to the English Garden is for free.

One of Bavarias Most Beautiful Forests
Bavaria in Germany is a state with a lot of beautiful nature and diverse landscapes. During my last Germany trip I discovered this forest and beautiful nature reserve.
ℹ️ Name and Location: It's called "Wildbachklamm Buchberger Leite" close to the town of Berchtesgaden.
Ancient forests shape this beautiful area, there are many small waterfalls, wild mushrooms, moss and fern. It's one of the most diverse forests I've been to in Europe.
🎟️ There is an entrance fee and the money is used for protection of the forest. It's 2,50€ per person.

Germany's most famous castle
Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century historic palace on a hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in Bavaria. It's quite famous for its architecture, even Disney land seemed to copy the design a little... 🏰 Also the surrounding landscape is nice for hiking. ⛰️
Tickets 🎫: 30-50€, depending on season and guide
Due to the high number of tourists (1.5 million visitors annually and 8,000 visitors daily during the summer and sunny weekends), it is recommended to buy tickets in advance...
In the towns outside are some guesthouses. If they are too pricey, you can visit Neuschwanstein as a day trip from the bigger cities in South Germany!

Magical visit to a fairytale castle, Germany
Neuschwanstein Castle is the inspiration behind the castle in Disney's Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. It is magnificent and easy to spot from far far away.
The castle is accessible by car or public transport. It sits atop a hill, which takes 15 - 20 minutes to walk uphill. It is possible to hire a horse carriage to take you up, at a fee of less than EUR 5 per pax one way.
There is a guided tour around the castle. Pre-book your tickets in advance to guarantee yourself a spot as tickets sell out fast.
Location: Neuschwansteinstraße 20, 87645 Schwangau, Germany

Iconic beer house in Bavaria
Highly recommend this brewery in Bavaria, Germany.
Food was good, beer was better, atmosphere was best! Chatters and laughters fill the restaurant, everyone looked like they were having a good time. There is a live band too which go on for hours.
It offers the standard variety of beer - dunkel, lager, wheat beer in huge 1L beer mug seen during Oktoberfest. It is a true test of physical strength and alcohol tolerance.
Pets are allowed in the restaurant and there was a cute little doggo at my table.
Location: Hofbräuallee 1, 81829 München, Germany. It is located in the city of Munich and very accessible by foot!

Marienplatz, the Heart of Munich, Germany
Marienplatz is the city hall of Munich. It is a landmark in Munich and the starting point for many sightseeing tours in the city. As it sits in such a central location, I ended up walking past the square in front of Marienplatz almost every day during my visit to Munich.
The Marienplatz itself has a rich history and is still used to hold events up till today! There is an old and new wing that were separately built 400 years apart!
There is a huge open ground in front of Marienplatz where many events take place. Christmas markets are usually held there during winter but they were unfortunately closed in December 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The subway and S-Bahn station are just under Marienplatz, so convenient to get around. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance from it.
Location: Marienplatz, 80331 München, Germany
