Gold Lounge
Fairmont Gold lounge located at level 28, I was asked to wait here for the room to be ready. It doesn't offer much in afternoon, only dessert/kueh and snacks.
Quite cosy and great place to chill, feel like in living room instead of lounge. View from here face marina bay area which is so nice. Good for relaxing.
Snacks are self service but drinks need to be requested. No alcohol until 6pm. Welcome drink vouchers were given as accor+ member and can be redeem almost everywhere here that offer alcohol beverages or bars.

Afternoon Tea @ Hereen Singapore
Tsui Wah, originated from Hong Kong is hidden afternoon tea place in Courts electronic store at Hereen orchard road. Located just opposite 313 Somerset/H&M. It used to be at the side and easily seen but they have moved to level 2 instead.
There is no queue in the afternoon for tea break around 3pm but queue will form up later on. Their best food for tea break is this bread top with butter and condense milk. Utensils are hidden in drawer under table.
This place is a good choice for yum cha, small bites, dessert, and tea break.

City scape from Fairmont
Me and my tripfam were hoping to catch the fireworks from the area where national day parade will be held at. It is coming soon on 9th August so there is rehearsal on going. In that rehearsal there might be chance to catch fireworks.
Although in the end we did not manage to get it as there may be lesser budget or not time yet to release fireworks, we managed to get this beautiful peddle pop sunset from fairmont lounge. Also caught the hellicopter with singapore flag on it. City scape from this building is super nice facing marina bay, padang field, esplanade, and singapore central view.

Arts @ Lyf
My artistic side loves this place so much! There are so many cute and beautiful art pieces here, from interior to decorations. I love the unique chair, bears, greens, rabbits, lamps, ambience and vibe! This boutique hotel has improved. Stayed here last year but it wasn't this good.
I remember getting lost while looking for this place and greeted with so minimum decorations. However, vibe is still same. Artistic people like me can still enjoy the surrounding area with simple interior design and many decorations & arts!

Unique Workout Place
Lyf has this co working space and unique gym for the people who stay at the boutique hotel. The last time I stayed here, I only found the wheels and see saw; now it's complete with other equipments as well!
Oh not to forget the stairs and wall really motivate us to work out. This is located at 6th floor or the 3rd floor if you are using stairs from the lobby. Nice designed equipments that are unique and catchy. I won't mind spending time doing exercise here. Not just gym but also take good pictures! Love the vibe and ambience!

Garden in Shopping Mall
Who loves gardening? Funan Shopping Mall located at City Hall area in Singapore has this urban farm where there are many edible plants and flowers on display as well as educational explaination on it!
This farm is well protected and hidden that not many people come and visit. When I was taking picture of the plants, there was a security lady took picture of me as if she was afraid I destroy the plants. This proof that the urban farm is well taken care of and secured!
I enjoyed taking pictures while looking around here, seeing many varieties of plant starting from edible to non edible one. There are also places to sit down and chill. It was crowded that I didn't take any picture of the swings and football field.

Myanmar Village
The only place in Singapore that sells so many products from Myanmar, it even has this unique smell from inside building. People from Myanmar usually gather here every weekend.
It bring back memories of my Myanmar trip when I pass by this place. Beside all those stores, there are also offices in this Peninsula Plaza building, located very conviniently opposite City Hall MRT.
Maybe if your sense of smell is very sharp, you won't like the smell. But you will appreciate it when you learn about Myanmar culture.

Ascott Orchard Lobby
Ascott Orchard is like an apartment suite where there is concierge, receptionist located at level 2, lounge and facilities at level 4. I came here to drop by thing for my cousin who stayed in this place.
Greeted by the greens at corner side, trishaw and fountain outside, as well as the cart to put your luggage. What a complete facility they have! Although there's no bell boy. It feel as if I'm in the airport.
And we don't have to worry about safety because everyone should wear mask! There's notice on concierge. Recommend this place for those who like service apartment style hotel.

When I miss UK...
The only place where I can flashback to my UK trip is here at Marks & Spencer located at Wheelock Place, Orchard, Singapore! Its quite a huge department store with many things to find, especially for woman.
My favorite corner is their summer edition clothes and UK products. There are also many ready to eat or frozen foods as well as bath and bedroom essentials. Basically, all you need is here. But of course price is more expensive than local department store like BHG.
Quality matter more than price, right? Shop here to feel as if you are in England and feel the vibe~

Hype Mexican Bar
The newest bar in central area located outside of 313@Somerset. Atmosphere here is like mexican bar. It's always crowded after work especially when there's promotion or happy hours. I observed that there were many caucassians here and by judgment maybe most of customers are expats or foreigners.
It's quite chill and relaxing with music on background, I feel invited to go in but there were no more seat left. Hype and trendy place to hang around for those working professionals chill after work.

Singapore River Safari
Fun days at river safari with cousin from Sydney. There are so many creatures and animals living in river here. Some we found in the show. I love that the staffs have interaction with audiences. They brought animals for us to see as well.
Trademark here is the panda. Red pandas are very cute. Monkeys, and fishes are also attractive. Explore around until my body is covered with sweats. It was super hot day even my cousin got tired easily, she asked me to sit down few times. There are too many things to discover
Do book river cruise if you want to find out more of river safari. It's just a short ride.

Get your tea fix here
Address - Shop 01-20, Level 1, 313@Somerset, 313 Orchard Rd, 238895
Ambiance/Facilities - tea shop
Highlights - tea lovers would love this shop where we can get not only different range of teas but also beautiful tea pot and tea cups. There's sale on going, price starting from $20. T2 is a good brand, honestly I prefer this compared to TWG. But price wise is almost same, only brand is different. This brand I prefer their fruit tea. By entering the shop, I'm already tempted to buy their pretty teapot and tea cups but thinking of space it will be inconvenient.

Green Party
Address - 313 Orchard Rd, #b3-21/22, Singapore 238895
Ambiance/Facilities - gifts shop
Highlights - the name of this store doesn't align with its product offer. This is more typical store for gifts rather than party supply. You can get all you need here from bouquet of flowers, accesories, soft toys, stationaries, and even snacks + beverages from China! I saw many secondary school kids came here to shop or buy gifts, maybe because the price here is quite affordable from their pocket money. Price varies, depend on products.

Jurong Art
Jurong East is super big area where you can get lost at. It's west side of Singapore which surrounded by three huge shopping malls. Chance upon the artistic side of Westgate.
I didn't know that capitaland group shopping mall own a few art pieces. It was quite unique and there's description near the display. While reading on description, immerse in thought of how and why it was put there; I saw there are musical bells for us to try. Quite interesting marketing concept of mixing the music business with art display around it.
When I walked back to the MRT, I found pandas outside with seating area. What a creative way of filling empty space with an art! 🤔

iLight 2022
Another memorable day at iLights 2022 where I met fellow tripfam for photohunt. Our hobby is to capture photograph not only of a person or people but also nature and events.
We met at cityhall for dinner followed by esplanade to enjoy free performance then walk around iLights. It's held from 3-26 June around Marina Bay area. Too bad, during this time it was drizzling that he didn't go and use his camera, instead he was just accompanying me to go around.
Out of all the light displays, our favourite is kinetic flower at Fullerton area. It's colourful and attractive. Would suggest you to check for weather condition first before coming down.

Close with Nature Hike
Weekend is time to explore and do some exercise! Hiking is my favourite activity in Singapore where it get me closer with nature as well as burning some calories.
This time round was a visit to Dairy Farm trail, it's full of greens, wetland, swamp, and little guilin. It's connected with bukit timah hill and railway park.
Along the way, there's slope and slippery soils so we have to be careful. Also, beware of crocodile! Recommended to use insect repellent and bring water.
After I completed the trail, felt too hungry then went over to bukit timah hawker centre to immediately eat wanton noodle and kway chap. Burn calories, more calories intake. 😅

Standard Twin Room
Address - 351 Cranwell Rd, Singapore 509866
Ambiance/Facilities - garden and quite ambience, close with nature
Highlights - nature lover should come here, it's very quite and nice to be at. Get close with nature, try to catch the hummingbird, and relax in comfortable bed. Facilities in room are quite old but it's good enough, worth the price spent. Although the relax corner is weirdly located, blocked the tv screen but it's super comfortable that I'm too lazy to move. Changi Beach
Located in secluded area, changi beach boardwalk is a nice place to chill. But, beware of the uneven sands! There are 3 types of sands, the rough one with small stones, big sands, and finer sands. It's also uneven, so becareful when you walk!
There's also jetty port to pulau ubin. You can sit down and chill near the beach and garden site, or in the sailing club (reservation needed). If you are lucky, there will be aeroplane pass by. Nice place to clear out mind with sound of waves and wind breeze. Please don't forget to put on insect repellent.

Highlights - discover the unique local and international food around lavender area where there is "food street" just outside the MRT, beside V hotel lavender. Ambiance/Facilities - casual dining
Highlights - unique experience of authentic vietnamese cuisine that is served by robot. Decoration of this place is also so nice. food conform is authentic one. You don't get this kind in Singapore elsewhere. Although I can say that this is the higher quality and standard than the other one. If you like spicy, should order the spicy version of their vermicilli / bean noodle aka pho. Other than that also quite good with asian mixture, they have bbq as well!
