Whispers of calm along the Mekong river
Enchanting Luang Prabang, nestled at the confluence of the majestic Mekong River and the tranquil Nam Khan, weaves a spell with its UNESCO-protected heritage and timeless allure. This captivating Laotian gem is a must-visit for travelers seeking serenity and splendor.
The perfect place to explore ancient temples adorned with intricate mosaics, to visit the Mount Phousi with its panoramic vistas, to enjoy the slow pace of life along the Mekong banks drinking a coffee at the sunset. But luang prabang is much more: I suggest to explore the labyrinthine lanes of the old town, where French colonial architecture mingles seamlessly with traditional Lao houses, each adorned with vibrant bougainville.
Luang Prabang is more than a beautiful town: it represents the art of slowing down, appreciating the simple things, and connecting with the rhythm of life itself.

City Lights and Thai Delights on the Mekong
As the sun dipped below the skyline of Bangkok, we embarked on a city trip that promised to be unforgettable. Our journey took a thrilling turn with a boat tour along the Mekong River, offering breathtaking views of the city's vibrant life. The shimmering lights reflected on the water, creating an atmosphere of enchantment.
Amidst the cityscape, we found ourselves immersed in the melodies of amazing live music, adding a rhythmic soundtrack to our picturesque adventure. The buffet, laden with delicious Thai delicacies, was a culinary journey in itself—each bite an explosion of flavors that showcased the richness of Thai cuisine.
The entire experience was totally worth it, an exquisite blend of sightseeing, cultural immersion, and gastronomic delight. We would wholeheartedly recommend this boat tour to anyone seeking an unparalleled view of Bangkok, an evening filled with music, and a feast for the senses.#bangkok #thailand #citytrip #citytrip #mekong

I tried the Delta tour for 1 day and I’m so happy with that. Islands nature is amazingly beautiful. Full of flowers, birds, bees and butterflies 🦋 🕊️🐝
The most beautiful area I’ve visited.
Highly recommend you to take one day and go for a tour to experience the beauty of Mekong River.
It’s super good place to take beautiful photos and see the local life as itself.

Luang Prabang - a vintage vinyl of a town
Take a plunge into the history and culture of this quaint town which boasts unique architecture. It will be love at first sight. A small tip there: take it in slowly and let the good vibes permeate the air from dawn - when you witness the serene beauty of the monks' procession - till dusk, enjoying the sunset either on top of the centrally located Mount Phu Si or by the riverside of the mighty Mekong. In between, stroll along tiny streets and alleys or rent a bicycle and explore the whole town at a leisurely pace (or speed), stopping for a cup of locally grown coffee or to sample delectable local dishes. Once acquainted with the town itself, head to the majestic Kuang Si Falls. When going upstream, prepare yourself to be amazed by the beauty of this natural wonder, which gradually reveals itself to the visitors (when you take the longer path to the right). #luangprabang #kuangsi #kuangsiwaterfall #mekong #mekongriver #laos #phousi #phusi

Mekong River Cruise
About Mekong River: it’s the 3rd longest river in Asia, running across China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. It is over 4900 km long!
Length of cruise: usually an hour - from one section of the city to another one. Rather than having a round trip, usually you board at one place and alight at another to watch the scenery along the river and explore the destination area.
You may also opt for longer cruises or even cross-country journey (eg from Vietnam to Laos)
Fun facts: the river used to have many crocodiles and people felt unsafe in the water/on the boat, that’s why they painted a pair of eyes at the front of the boat to make it look like a big scary marine animal travelling through the river in order to scare away the crocodiles.
Local residents literally live their lives in the Mekong River - washing clothes, taking baths, peeing and pooing, swimming… that is a reason why it looks 🤎

Here Mekong calmly divides Thailand and Laos
Day before we've been in Nong Khai, Thailand, the closest city to Laos border. We crossed the border easily, without any problems and issues, after we arrived to Vientiane which is the capital of Laos, very cute and lovely place. Here are a lot of beautiful temples and sacred places, not so much of entertainment as a Bangkok (or even Pattaya)😅 but very nice rooftop restaurants and cafes with awesome view.#riverside #mekong #vientiane
