Huangshan trip during the Tayfun
Huangshan is well know for its mountain, but we was lucky to come here during tayfun and find its entrance closed.
That made us find a lot of great not well known things.
1. Old village protected by UNESCO for a affordable price you can stay here over night in old, Chinese cultural and same time cozy river view rooms. There are a lot of places to eat out for affordable price and take a nice walk through the village (check my review)
2. Stunning waterfall
3. Glass bridge with a hunted house and rollercoaster
4. Canyon hiking
5. Tea factory
6. A lot of nice places to eat local food
7. English speaking taxi driver + tour guide
8. Old street
9. Nice hotel for a party with friends and family
All of this you can find in my reviews and posts, with a location, prices and time you will spend #outofbittentrac #huangshan #waterfall

Breathtaking Yellow Mountains
They say the Yellow Mountains (Huangshan) are some of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world, and I must agree. I took a train from Beijing and stayed a night in the town at the base of the mountains to prepare for the hike up the next morning. Although there are lifts to carry you up part way, I chose to hike on foot, which took about 3 hours. I stayed at a hotel for a night at the top to view the sunrise, and the unforgettable, breathtaking views were worth it in spite of the sore muscles and lack of sleep.

Stunning Huangshan ❤️
Huangshan is a must to go place! Breathtaking views and amazing atmosphere there! Should be in everyone’s the bucket list 😁
Getting to the main scenic spot isn’t difficult, city has a railway station, although I would recommend to book your hotel closer to the scenic area, so wouldn’t waste a lot of time in the morning, cause city is a bit far away(about 50km), and you better go out earlier to catch everything, best time would be before 8, it will be less crowded.
Local food is amazing, very delicious. Try something different from your usual meals 👍
I’ve seen many mountains, so far this one is the most impressive. Want to come back again ❤️ #huangshan #mytripvlog #awesomepic #nationalpark #bucketlistreboot #2023travelwish

🕛 & 🎟️ Entrance from 7am to 17:00pm. Entrance without bus/Cable-Car is 190RMB per person.

Huangshan - Hongcun ancient village
📍Where: Huangshan, Anhui. This 900 years old village is located 1 hour away from Huangshan North railway station. (We hired a driver. You could also take a DiDi if you’d like to.) There’s also a bus you could take from the railway (Not sure about the frequency.)
⏰ Suggested time : 3-4 hours.
A lot of the buildings in the village of Hongcun can date back to the Song Dynasty. This beautiful place. also called “the ancient village in Chinese paintings”, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
Pay particular attention to the large tree located at the West gate 1 , it’s 500 years old!
I recommend you book a hotel in the ancient village. I stayed at the Floral Hotel and I was very impressed! I highly recommend it (I posted a photo of the hotel’s information). From there, Yellow Mountain is about 35mins away.
If you’re visiting Huangshan, I suggest you spend 2-3 fulls day here.

Yellow mountain- Huangshan
Yellow mountain or mount Huangshan is one of China’s best known scenic spot.
📍Location: Huangshan, Anhui province.
⏰ I recommend staying 2 nights on top of the mountain.
🏨: There are quite a few hotels to choose from.
I stayed at Baiyun and it was pretty decent.
Here’s the address: Near Haixin Pavilion, Tianhai Scenic Area, Huangshan, 245800, Anhui, China.
I had a blast at Yellow Mountain!
It’s absolutely beautiful and the sunrise was especially breathtaking.
There are quite a few flights of stairs to climb so be ready for a good hike.

Floral Hotel - Great place to stay!
While visiting Huangshan, I had the pleasure to stay at this magnificent hotel.
Here’s the address: No.33 Yixi Road, Yi county, Anhui, China. (It is located in the ancient town so you have to pay the entrance fee).
Owner: He is very friendly! He’s a skilled photographer and offered to take photos of us while visiting the ancient town. 😄
Breakfast: Delicious! It’s a homemade Chinese style breakfast.
Location: perfect! As mentioned earlier, it is located in the ancient town. There’s also a nice backyard where you can take some nice photos!
My cover photo is the view you get from less than a minute walk from the hotel.
Enjoy your stay and please show this post to the owner if you get a chance! He’s my coworker’s uncle!!! 😊

Mountain Apex
Be ready to get your calf muscles trained, as it is going to be a 2.5 hours hike 🥾down the hill and the only leg muscle that will support will need immense strength. Yes, this time one way up the mountain 🏞️we took the cable car; but hiking down we were ready to give a try. Starting from turtle🐢 peak, we hiked down to Lotus pavilion at first which will take you some half an hour. If you’re strong enough mentally and physically you can go to reach the tallest peak in Huangshan(lotus peak), otherwise just look the top from bottom and move on to Greeting guests pine. Near to this spot there is an amazing valley view spot and also there are some grocery stores. After you reach the Halfway temple 🛕 it is only downwards, and I remember there was only one store on the way before we hit the bottom. Be yourself hydrated all the way, and have some pain relieve spray ⛑️with you; it’ll be handy. #hikefreak #huangshan

Stunning view from Mount Huangshan
Huangshan (黄山) is easily accessible from Shanghai, less than 3 hours on high speed train then you are at Huangshan North station, which is the nearest town to explore the amazing mountain park. The UNESCO World Heritage site is well known for its peculiarly- shaped granite peaks, sunrise, pine trees and hot springs. The walk inside the park can be quite challenging if you are heading to the famous peak of 蓮花峰. But it’s rewarding after all those steep uphill stairs. The scenery is breathtaking! It will take 6-8 hours to cover a big loop include the peak so make sure you arrive the park as early as possible so as to avoid crowds and give enough time for the walk. You can also stay in one of the handful hotels inside the park for the sunrise and a more leisure pace to explore.

Hiking on Huangshan Mountain
Ride a Yuping cable car to Huangshan mountain. Started hiking to the Lotus’s Peak and towards other main spots. Took a good few hours for the hike. The pathway is easy to hike but a lot of stairs because it’s technically hiking up to the top of mountain. There’s also an accommodation on the mountain for people who want to hike for a few days.

Beautiful Sunset at Mt. Huangshan
#passionpassport
This is one of the most beautiful sunset I experienced. It last week of January and it started snowing on Yellow mountain. It was looking so surreal and mesmerizing. To see Sunset we started climbing around 11, and reached at 5-6, we woke up at 4 and hiked to sunrise seeing point but due to fog and rain could see it but we were happy that we were able to see sunset, as it was snowing we were not hopeful we will be able to see sun but luckily got peak of it. We stayed in one of the hotel on the peak and serviced severe cold there. But over al a trip to remember. Wonderful trip. #beautifulsunsets #passionpassport #traveladdict #travelinsipiration #travelchina #huangshan #travelguide #hikingtrails #travelanhui

Jiuhuashan is a mountain in #anhui province located near #huangshan (aka #yellowmountain). While not as famous or well known as its neighbor, it’s still absolutely worth a visit! At the top of Mount Jiuhua, you’ll find an ancient Buddhist temple. It’s a beautiful and quiet experience if you’re looking for a getaway from crazy city life. Plus, there aren’t too many crowds on this #mountain .

My god, China is absolutely beautiful!!! Anhui Province is breathtaking.
Winter break is a time most foreigners vacation outside the mainland due to the crowds and the cold. But, I chose to stay and discover the hidden secrets in this great land. And boy am I happy with my decision.
Anhui Province is an unexpected winter wonderland!
