Whenever you feel like you want to have a quick escape from city life, just go take a drive down or visit Sekinchan. Green fields, blue sky. Get rid of your worries. Enjoy the horizon of serenity. Walk, cycle and explore the corners of Sekinchan. It is such a beautiful and nice place for family getaway. This is a good place to chill and to enjoy the picturesque paddy fields with fresh cool air. Everywhere I turn, I can see paddy, green scenery and peaceful. The time we went was just nice. Everything is so green. Green as far as the eyes can see, just make sure you visit at the right time when the paddy is green. The best thing is that there are not many people or crowds which making it best for taking photos. Located just a stone’s throw away from Tanjong Pagar MRT, Oasia Hotel Downtown by Far East Hospitality is a hotel that serves as an escape in the middle of the busy CBD. The building is recognizable due to its unusual façade. The building is wrapped in red cladding holding the creeping plants. This tower of green is a refreshing sight in the middle of concrete blocks of the city. We booked a club room with club benefits for an overnight staycation. Booking for this type of room includes an exclusive access to the club floor, club lounge, and infinity pool at level 21. The check-in is also done at this level. You can also choose to have your breakfast at this level. The colors, patterns, furniture, and design features used in the facilities especially in the club level all invoke a tropical resort feeling. Review: Staff – the check-in staff at the club level were nice and pleasant. Club lounge staff were also accommodating. Location – located in the CBD with lots of dining establishments around the hotel, near to tourist spots. A few minutes wall from the nearest MRT. Accessibility – lifts are available. Facilities – as mentioned club lounge, club level and infinity pool are all available for use for club rooms. The lounge was great with free cocktails/drinks and snacks and cozy ambiance. The infinity pool was pretty too. The 2 rooftop pools are also available for use. Room – I loved the room. The sliding door that separates the bathroom can be left opened when not in use, making the room look more spacious. The wooden accents & pattern gives the room a warmer ambiance. The room also offers an infinity pool view. Dining – there are 3 available dining options, but we didn’t get to try any of them. The breakfast was good. Overall – I would love to go back and stay there again. #timetotravel Wonderful family owned hotel/chalet in Grindelwald that is 15 mins walk away from the Grindelwald train terminal. As we had travelled from big cities like Vienna, Munich and Zurich, Hotel Cabana is the perfect place of relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle. Staff at the reception are nice, while checking in for us, she gave us advice as to how we can get tickets to jungfrau etc. Hotel Cabana is a traditional-looking chalet, and it is very well-maintained and clean. We booked the room with garden access and it did not disappoint!! On our first day, it did not snow so we get to enjoy the greenery. However, on our first night, it started snowing so we had the opportunity to also witness the snow ❄️😍 I definitely recommend staying at Hotel Cabana when you are in Grindelwald. Also known as Bali Swing. You can find these huge swings set up all aroundbthe rice terraces at The Tegallalang Rice Terrace in Ubud, Bali. The entrance fee alone was roughly 10k-25k. The swing itself averaged 150k-500k ($10-35) depending on the swing location and dresses. As the seasons switch, each plot does as well. Plots belong to several owners and they all work together to keep the paddies nice. It takes approximately 2-3 months for rice to fully mature for the picking. Here, you'll see some of the most beautiful plots of rice, strategically placed along the steep hills of Tegallalang. During Covid, this place was pretty deserted and now, they are doing their best to revamp it. Gardens are being grown on the side of the swings and little local resturants are starting to reopen. To get to the lush green paddies, go down to the bottom of the hill and cross over. You'll have to buy a bottle of water for 10k (.50 cents). We stopped by Firgun on a rainy day. It located at first floor of Haian Riverfront Hotel in Bach Dang Street. Our first impression is fresh green space at street corner facing to the Han River. The cafe is decorated with a lot of plantation, creating a very comfortable and chill atmosphere. Interior is nice, simple and photogenic for Instagram moments.
