Wulong, Chongqing, China

Getting There - Traveling to Chongqing, China. Then booking an one day trip on Trip.com, there are several packages you may use, it’s only 2.30 hrs drive by car. If you are a big group, there is a luxury comfortable van as well.
Attractions - A national geological park called “Heaven Pit Earth Crack” – 3 Natural Bridges, Longshuixia Fissure Gorge you may plan your own trips, I strongly recommended. You may start your trip at 08:00 a.m. from Chongqing to Wulong, you are going to reach there around 11:00 p.m. having lunch before you enter the national park, then spending the whole afternoon there.
Food & Restaurants - There are plenty of local restaurants in the village near the national park, it is delicious, however, if you don’t eat spicy, you must inform then not to add spicy in your dishes.
Shopping - Here is the filming location of the world famous movie “Transformer” so there are a lots of souvenirs there, i.e. magnets, calendars, glasses.

Chongqing by night 🌃❤️
This is by far the coolest city I have visited in the world. It is amazing by day and by night. It’s a city in the mountains and also the starting city of Yangtze River cruise.
🛥️I do recommend the night cruise as the view of the city is stunning by night. Pay a little extra for vip access and you can have seats on the upper deck. You will also have the opportunity to buy snacks and drinks. 📍 find the Chaotianmen dock and follow the signs to find the right boats.
🌃Hongya Cave is very touristy and crowded but also very beautiful. You can get a good glimpse from the night cruise and you can also come close to the entrance area and take a picture from the road. Inside there are snacks and souvenirs.
⛩️ The Guotai Grand Theater & Art Museum is extremely cool to watch by night. With its cool and special design.
🥘 Hotpot, there are so many cool hotpot restaurants around town. If you can’t take spicy there are options as well. I love spicy and can not get enough of this local version. And we made sure to try the local beer called ChongQing 🍻
🏨 Westin, Liberation square location. This hotel has The most amazing view from the pool area at the 53rd floor. The rooms are confertable and they have an amazing breakfast spread.

The City of Lights!
Chongqing is a city like no other. While other cities in China are known to be ‘big’ none feel as expansive and vast as Chongqing. This is in part due to the city’s incredible topography and seemingly endless skyscrapers. The city exists across river islands and peninsulas, giving it even more intrigue. Everyone should take a river cruise in Chongqing at some point in their life!#Chongqing #trip #instatravel #city #spicyfood
Nice Stay in A Local Area
Chongqing is always worth a trip. The mountain city with many hills offers hotpot, green hills and urban architectural. CCINN is a chain-hotel with simple but nice rooms.
This hotel 🏨 is close to the subway line 2. The beds are comfortable and spacious, breakfast is simple but Ok. Staff is very nice and welcoming. During the low season, it's about 200RMB for a room, during the holidays it's more.

Unforgettable architecture in Chongqing
One of the most unique buildings you will see in Chongqing is the Guotai Art Center. The architecture is like no other I’ve seen. The building serves as an art museum and a performance theater. We didn’t go inside we just admired it from the outside.
Another great viewpoint walking distance from the temple is Jiefangbei. It’s create for pictures and you have a 360° view of the city. Entrance fee is 68RMB (USD $10). Location: Xinhua Road, Jiefangbei, Yuzhong District 201, United International Building
Next we moved on to the Liziba Metro Station. Where a metro line runs through a residential building. The train stops at a station on the sixth floor of the building; above and below are apartments and even food shops. At this time it seems the residences are unoccupied. The area is very nice and quaint. Up the street up a hill there are several coffee shops and small restaurants with great views of the river. Perfect for sunset or just to relax after a walk.#chongqing #trip #instatravel
Think your spice game is strong?
You’ll be very quickly humbled in #Chongqing. Had the most wonderful stay at Sunyata - an old American embassy quarter turned hotel.
Located in Longmenhao Old Street, under the Dongshuimen Changjiang Bridge, you’ll find lots to do here. Perched on a hill overlooking the city, there’s something magical about the contrast of the old Chinese tiled roofs, minimalistic interiors and lush greenery.

Excellent Hotel Stay in Chongqing!🇨🇳
#timetotravel
We were here for only two nights and it was pleasantly great. The lobby staff are really nice, accommodating and helpful. They always helped us whenever I needed things to get done. They helped us call a taxi, photocopy or even clean our shoes. We stayed in an executive room maybe that is why, I hope they have the same treatment with their other guests. We loved the pool and of course the lounge. The staff at the lounge's entrance was always smiling everytime we entered. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Enjoy your stay!

Three Eternal Dragons of Wulong Karst
Discover a realm of wonder in Wulong, China, where nature's artistry has carved three breathtaking masterpieces: the mesmerizing Three Natural Bridges. 🌉These ancient limestone arches stand as testaments to the Earth's creative prowess, offering a journey through time and nature's marvels. 💚
First, meet Tianlong Bridge, a colossal arch stretching gracefully over clear blue waters. Its name, meaning "Heavenly Dragon," befits its majestic presence. As sunlight filters through its intricate openings, a dance of shadows and light paints an ethereal spectacle on the tranquil surface below. 🚶♀️🚶
Next, journey to Qinglong Bridge, a testament to nature's meticulous craftsmanship. "Azure Dragon" in translation, Qinglong captivates with its delicate curves and symmetrical design. As you traverse this living sculpture, verdant vegetation clings to its sides, creating a symbiotic bond between the stone and the living world it frames. ⛰️
Lastly, marvel at Heilong Bridge, aptly named the "Black Dragon" due to its dark, mysterious allure. This enigmatic arch stands proud amidst lush foliage, an embodiment of the intricate balance between strength and grace. 🐉
Gazing up, one can't help but be awed by the ancient forces that shaped this mesmerizing work of arts.
Tips and Tricks.
If you have arrived to Wulong by train, just head to the exit. Follow the signs leading bus and taxi stand. You should end up on the ground floor of the train station. Blue coloured bus should be waiting for the passengers right by the escalator. Fare is ¥10 p/p and it takes around an hour to reach Wulong Karst scenic area. 🚌Within the scenic area are 5 scenic sights that are connected by park's inner bus service. Three Natural Bridges is just one of them. You can only board the buses which connect to the scenic sights that you have bought the tickets for. 🎫 Upon arrival to the Three Natural Bridges scenic area you are presented with a choice - to stay in a que to the elevator (up to 2 hours of waiting) that will bring you all the way down to the viewpoint or going by stairs (15 minutes). If your physical condition allows you to use stairs then we definitely recommended this option over the other. You'll see so much beauty on the way down as well as feel yourself immering into the depth of erosion that took millions of years to form. 🤩
Enjoy!

Ever So Changing Graffiti Street!
Step into the vibrant tapestry of Chongqing Graffiti Street (黄桷坪涂鸦艺术街), where art dances upon the walls and imagination knows no bounds. 😍 This enchanting lane, a riot of colors and creativity, breathes life into the urban landscape, inviting you to explore a world where every brushstroke tells a story.🤍
Wandering through these living canvas, you'll find yourself amidst a symphony of hues that splash across weathered bricks and aged facades. Street artists from all corners of the city converge here, leaving behind their dreams and aspirations in a kaleidoscope of images. 🖼️ Each stroke of paint is a testament to the energy of this metropolis, capturing its dynamism in a fusion of graffiti and culture.
But Chongqing Graffiti Street isn't just an outdoor gallery – it's a microcosm of the city's heartbeat. ❤️The aroma of street food wafts through the air, mingling with the intoxicating scent of creativity. Vendors peddle their wares along the lane, offering trinkets, handmade crafts, and memories to take home. 🧳Laughter and conversation resonate, creating an ambiance of community and connection.
As the sun dips below the horizon, the street undergoes a magical transformation. The painted colors take on new life, illuminated by the warm glow of lanterns and neon lights. The atmosphere becomes electric, as if the art itself is celebrating its existence.🥳
Chongqing Graffiti Street isn't just a place to visit; it's an immersive experience that captures the soul of a city in every stroke. It invites you to embrace the beauty of imperfection, celebrate diversity, and revel in the ever-evolving story told by the walls themselves.🎨
Tips and Tricks:
Public buses stop nearby or even on the Graffiti street depending on the route. It is the cheapest way to get there so if you consider this option keep a small change on you so that you can pay a driver ticket fare -¥2. 💲Keep in mind that driver doesn't give change back. Or if you have Alipay or WeChat account you can try to apply for the local bus card within these apps.
Enjoy! 🙃

A Must Visit Amazing Carvings 🇨🇳
#timetotravel
This is Dazu Rock Carvings located in Chongqing China, actually it is at the border between Chengdu and Chongqing. We came here after our visit to Chongqing. I had been wanting to see this for year and I finally saw them. I am always fascinated with carvings and scultures so I was so glued into looking and staring at them. Imagine? how did they carve these at the top of the mountain and in the middle of nowhere. It is just really fascinating. I really took my time but then we had a short time here that's why we could'nt finish exploring this area. Well, I guess it calls for another visit sooner or later right? Address: Dazu District, Chongqing. How to get here: Take a bus from north railway station for only 60 rmb and takes you around 3 hours travel time.

A train that runs through a building 🙉😳Chongqing
One of a kind transport adventure in Chongqing.
This is definitely one you want to try, 🚝🏙metro straight into the city centre's apartments 🙉
Liziba metro station on line 2 is one of the best transport attractions I have seen and for the price of a train ticket 🎟 4RMB. The best way to see it is definitely grabing a spot in the first carriage.
It is better to board the train at least 3 or 4 stations away from Liziba in either direction, this is because so many people want to see it that if you leave it too close there will be too many people in front of you and you won't be able to see it entering the building, let alone take any pictures 📸
Once you arrive at the station, it is worth exploring both exits. Exit 2 first gives you nice close up pics of the train entering the building. Then you make your way 8↘️ floors down to Exit 1 this is where the beautiful mosaics and viewing platforms are. both angles are worth it🤩😎#chongqing #china #roadtrip #metrostation #summervacation

Liziba Station in Chongqing is known for its unique architecture and historical significance. It has become a popular tourist attraction due to its distinctive appearance.
The subway literally crosses an apartment building where people still live 😱 In order to preserve the building the government open the hole for the metro to pass and also with ingenious engineering reduced vibrations and excessive noise for people in the building to live without problem.
The station also plays a significant role in Chongqing's transportation system, serving as a hub for both the city's metro and bus networks. A must to see 😎

Incredible Chongqing trip 😃
Chongqing is a fantastic city which is also an independent municipality. It is one of China’s biggest city.
It is known worldwide for the Yangtze river and fine spicy gastronomy. You must walk in the city historic centre to enjoy the amazing architecture which combines modern and impressive buldings as well as traditional chinese architecture beautifully lighted.
Walking on the streets is fun, there are many landmarks such as bridges, museums, parks and temples. I came to Chongqing for a 4 days trip but I would recommend at least a whole week to experience the city without rushing.
A few of the top landmarks to visit in this city are: Liziba station, The Huanjueping graffity street, Hongya Cave, Three Gorges Museum, Jiefangbei among others, Wulong Karts among others.

Mountain city 🏔️ and Wulong Park 🏞️
lovely weekend trip to Chongqing.
Frist day visited Wulong and the 3 bridges, amazing area and lovely walk around. It was very easy to walk around as it a single route. I did hire a private tour (legend tours) as it is 3hr away from the city but it is worth it. Especially the last part, if you enjoyed transformer it will be a treat.
After, in the evening when to Hongyadong Commercial St, to see the light and visit the different levels of food and shops available and when up the tower to have a night view of the city .
Second day, went Ciqikou Ancient Town. Lovely and fun to walk around the old town, to see different shops and food stalls. After, went to the famous station of Liziba .
Great and confusing city to walk around 😁😁#chongqing #wulongpark #hongyadong #observationdeck #ciqikou
Charming Chongqing
Chongqing Municipality is a mega city located near Sichuan province. There is an international airport and train station that connects Chongqing to other cities in China as well as a boat connection to nearby Chengdu.
Chongqing is very hilly by nature and has several quirky attractions such as the metro that goes into the side of the building and an old village. The food in Chongqing is very spicy and hotpot is a very popular dish (including brain). lots of the main restaurants and bars are located along the river which comes alive at night when the lights are turned on #mountainview #urbanexplorer #chongqing #hotpot

Liziba Station 🚉 Runs Through a Building
Chongqing has sealed the travel destination deal with the Liziba Station. It's something you'd think you could only see on TV in an action movie. We went there as our last sightseeing activity just before leaving Chongqing and it was definitely a great way to bring the curtains down.
Address - The sightseeing platform is located at 62 Lizibazheng Street, Yuzhong. I took a Didi there but you could also take the Subway to Line 2 and get off right where the action is.
Ambiance/Facilities - The sightseeing platform is located right below the building/train station. It gives a beautiful view of the trains as they enter and exit the office building. Many people were there but the view was clear due to how high the building is. It made us feel lucky to be able to capture such magnificence without being obstructed by fellow enthusiastic visitors. You could also go inside the building to the 5th floor to get a closer look at the train. You'll also get to see the scenery of the river and the buildings below.
Highlight: We were able to see the trains exit and enter the office and residential building 🏫, which was just magnificent to behold. Trains came and went every 8 or so minutes (could be less) and sometimes two even passed at the same time😍😍. There were photographers on spot to help us capture the moment. We got 3 photos for 68 yuan in total and we were able to retake them if we weren't pleased.
The area is also a commercial building that hosts a tourist center where tickets to various attractions can be bought. There were also many gift shops where we bought souvenirs, and the interior walls of the building also had paintings of famous landmarks in Chongqing. It was a delight. There's also a food court on the second floor where we bought smoothie and dinner before we left.
Avg. Price per Person - FREE, FREE, FREE, but if you can, take money to purchase souvenirs at the gift shops upstairs.
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must-see in Chongqing 😍

Exhale with Qingyun Mountain Homestay
Location: If you're using Didi, you'll find it as "Qingyun Mountain Fangkezhan" located at 035 Xiangdao Nanan.
Ambience/Environment: Qingyun Mountain Room is like a state of the art cabin. It has all the features of a hotel including a luxurious bathroom with vanity sets and nicely hung towels, delicious breakfast and dinner 🍽️😋, attentive receptionists, and well-thought-out chill spots for relaxation and photo ops. It even has conference rooms and lots of comfy reading areas. What makes it stand out in my mind from a regular hotel is the hideaway vybe. You get to enjoy the comfort of a hotel but in the quietness of nature. It's quiet, but it's not lonely.
Highlight: I was pleasantly surprised to see how warm the room was. The bed had electric heating pads that made us feel snug under the sheets, and the bathroom had lights that also served as a heating system, so it was always warm when we went in. The scenery was so calming all over the compound. You could tell a lot of thought went into it's design. Another highlight for me was to have the guitarist sing and play music at night. It was lovely to sit outside and watch him, but we could also hear the soothing melody from inside our room. It was also convenient that they had a washing machine, a gym, a snack machine, and powerbanks to charge your phone if you lost your charger like I did. Still, I'm grateful that they lent me a charger instead of renting me a powerbank 🤩🤩.
This is a spot that must be on your bucket list for Chongqing if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The good thing is that it's not far from the city, so you can easily grab a Didi and head back to the city for shopping or other recreational activities.
Rating: The service was exceptional. It meant a lot that they added my WeChat and answered queries readily when I needed them since I didn't speak Chinese. Still, one of the staff members spoke English to a great extent, so foreigners can feel comfortable to visit. It's a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ star hotel in my book.
