Open the map, in the vast ocean, the Chuanshan Islands are located in the South China Sea in the south, connected to the western Guangdong waters in the west, and backed by the Taishan mainland in the north. It is also a part of China's second largest archipelago - the Islands outside the Pearl River Estuary. We chose Shangchuan Island for the May Day holiday because we heard that there are not many tourists on Shangchuan Island, it is not very commercialized, and the island is larger, making it more suitable for family travel. We drove to Shanzui Port, parked in the parking lot and then went to buy ferry tickets. The parking fee is 100 yuan per car per day, and the round-trip boat ticket is 170 yuan, which includes the ticket to Feisha Beach. The following two days and one night will focus on five main attractions. Attraction 1: Sanzhou Port It takes half an hour by boat from Shanzui Port to Sanzhou Port on Shangchuan Island. Sanzhou Port is the port closest to the mainland of Shangchuan Island. It is also the place with the largest population and the most complete supporting facilities. Located around 45km from Yangjiang city, we arrived to explore this nice Naqing Geological Ocean Park. When you park your car and buy ticket, which is 98rmb, you can enjoy inside for a few hours. Dogs are allowed to enter too but need to be on leash. Walking around cost, relaxing on 3 different beaches, climbing rocks and getting little bit of Greek magic is what you can expect inside. There is also a restaurant so if you are hungry you can eat some local food. I went to check out Nimman Road. Even though I got there quite early, many shops on Nimman Road were already closed. I found this area to be very quiet. If, like me, you just want to take photos, this place is a good option. Provided you don't stop for a drink, you can check out the whole area in about half an hour.
