🇹🇭 || Temple Tranquility: Exploring Wat Arun 🙏🏻
#travelanywhere
Exploring Wat Arun in traditional Thai costume was a truly enchanting experience, blending cultural immersion with the historical richness of Bangkok's iconic landmark 📍
Dressed in intricate Thai attire, I felt transported to another era as I approached the temple complex. The vibrant colors and detailed craftsmanship of the costume added a sense of reverence and authenticity to my visit. 🫶🏼
Ascending the steep steps of Wat Arun's central prang, I was awed by the intricate ceramic tiles reflecting the sunlight, creating a mosaic of shimmering beauty. From the top, the panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok skyline was breathtaking, accentuated by the gentle sway of prayer flags in the breeze. 🌬️
Exploring the temple grounds, adorned with smaller pagodas and statues depicting Buddhist mythology, felt like stepping into a living museum of Thai religious art and architecture. Each corner revealed ornate details and symbolic motifs that spoke volumes about Thailand's cultural heritage and spiritual traditions. ✨
As the day concluded, witnessing the temple glow in the golden hour's light, I realized that exploring Wat Arun in Thai traditional costume had not only enriched my understanding of Thailand's past but also left an indelible mark on my heart, fostering a profound connection to this timeless symbol of Thai identity. 🌅

Wat Arun, a beautiful scenic spot in Bangkok, Thailand!
It not only has a strong historical heritage, but also has an amazing architectural scenery. It is simply a step-by-step scene, which is extremely beautiful!
In terms of transportation today, you can choose to take BTS to Saphan.
Taksin Station, and then transfer to Chao PhrayaExpress or Tuk-Tuk. The ticket is super cheap, and the scenery along the way is also super beautiful!
Remember to prepare the change in advance-
Pin Zhengwang Temple is located on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River in the centre of Bangkok. It is one of the most famous temples in Thailand. As soon as you enter the temple, you can be attracted by the towering spire, which is 82 metres high and is one of the tallest buildings in Bangkok. In the sunshine, the golden spire is shining, which is simply breathtakingly beautiful!

Wat Pho followed, featuring the magnificent reclining Buddha and a traditional Thai massage school. A short ferry ride took us to Wat Arun, where the colorful porcelain-decorated prang provided breathtaking views. Climbing Wat Saket, or the Golden Mount, rewarded us with panoramic city vistas and a serene atmosphere. The tour concluded at Wat Suthat, with its beautiful murals and the iconic Giant Swing. Overall, the tour was well-organized, informative, and deeply enriching, showcasing Bangkok's rich cultural heritage.

The Grand Palace Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
Admiring Thai Royal Splendour at The Grand Palace
#travelanywhere
The Grand Palace was the official residence of the Kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782
The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925. King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), resided at the Chitralada Royal Villa and his successor King Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) at the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall, both in the Dusit Palace, but the Grand Palace is still used for official events. Several royal ceremonies and state functions are held here every year. The palace is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Thailand.
The Grand Palace is made up of numerous buildings, halls, pavilions set around open lawns, gardens and courtyards.
The Grand Palace is currently partially open to the public as a museum, but it is also a working palace, with several royal offices still situated inside.

Three Days and Nights in Bangkok
✈️Transportation: Hong Kong to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Hong Kong
🚌From Shenzhen Bay Port, take the B3X bus to Hongqiao Station, then A36 directly to Hong Kong Airport Terminal
🏨Accommodation: Ibis Styles Bangkok Sukhumvit Phra Khanong (Not close to Siam shopping district, but there are several popular stores nearby, with a 711, BTS, and affordable room rates. The cleaning lady is also very diligent, highly recommended!)
🤠Itinerary: Day1 Watergate Temple—Chulalongkorn Night Market Street
Day2 Grand Palace-iconsam-Siam Shopping District
Day3 Siam Shopping District-Massage-Chulalongkorn Food Street
🚖Getting around Bangkok: We mostly took taxis, then boats or BTS or MRT to various places. The top recommended taxi app is bolt (cheaper), and if you can't get a taxi, consider grab.
🍽️Food:
1️⃣here hai: If you don't want to queue, just order takeaway on grab. Recommended garlic shrimp and crab spring rolls! But the crab fried rice is so-so
2️⃣Mae Varee: Also available for takeaway, the tri-color mango sticky rice is delicious, but it can get a bit cloying if you eat too much
3️⃣Chuan Fu: If you don't want to queue for Michelin mama noodles at Chulalongkorn, you can come here. Just walk a few dozen meters to the right of Milk Boy, it seems that many students come here to eat. The mama noodles and tossed rice are good, and their coconut pudding is super rich and delicious!!!
4️⃣Milk Boy: Only bought the original flavor milk, a bit like Wangzai milk??
5️⃣iconsam basement water market: Too many choices, buy whatever you want to eat, but the prawns are not fresh, the spotted cake is also average, not recommended. The papaya salad with raw shrimp and the spicy squid salad are very tasty
6️⃣after you: The mango smoothie and toast are okay, but too sweet and cloying after a while, anyway not as good as Miss Xiao Zhuang in Quanzhou (missing it~)
7️⃣Hand-labeled Thai milk tea: Tastes the same as in Shenzhen, but half the price, so drink more~
8️⃣Rua Thong Noodle: The best are the beef boat noodles, Tom Yum mixed noodles, dumplings, and coconut cake. Don't order the curry noodles at all!!!
9️⃣karun Thai milk tea: Average taste, expensive, too much ice, not recommended. Isn't hand-labeled Thai milk tea fragrant?
🔟aey seafood: Strongly recommend the curry crab and vermicelli pot!!! Amazing from the first bite, also a place where many locals eat. If you don't want to queue at somsom in Chulalongkorn, this place is recommended~
🙊711 Good Stuff Recommendations:
In P16, except for Meiji pure milk, everything else is worth a try. In P17, only the circled items are recommended. Comp tea and sleep candy❌, but clean nose's acne essence and sunscreen are really useful, and the Snake Brand spray and concealer samples are also highly recommended
🙊bigc Shopping Experience:
Apart from the dried mangosteen and strawberry-flavored Glico, everything else is OK~

ICONSIAM Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
🇹🇭Sharing food together as a family
Bangkok Thailand is always a great place for family trips and this is a great place to bring your family for dinner. Everyone can buy what they want to eat and sit together to share the food together. There are also no restrictions to buy from certain stalls. You can buy from any stalls as you wish and even can take away as well. The coconut juice here is so delicious and they even scoop out the coconut flesh for you too. They also have the viral thai milktea waffles too and the queue here is not long so it is easier to queue.

Rating - There is a wide varietes of local food that you may try in a more comfortable and clean environment. From main dishes to side dishes, they have nice desserts and beverage choices. It's quite crowded during peak hours but we still manage to get seats. The stallholders are generally friendly and the price wise are reasonable considered it was located in a shopping mall. Phuket Accommodation Guide, How to Choose from 4 Popular Areas?
Phuket's 4 popular accommodation areas:
⭐ Patong Beach: Phuket's Center | Lively Nightlife | Rich Entertainment Life
A mature tourist gathering place, with a row of hotels along the coastline, which is quite convenient. There are many spa massage shops, restaurants, cabaret shows, Muay Thai performances, and night markets, etc. The commercial atmosphere is very strong, and the beach is average.
⭐ Karon Beach: Surfer's First Choice | Blue Water and White Sand | Long Beach
The coastline is long and is one of the longest beaches in Phuket. The sea is azure and has fine white sandy beaches. There are not many water activities, and the atmosphere is more relaxed. The popular cliff cafes and cliff restaurants are built on the mountains of Karon Beach, where you can overlook the entire long coastline of Karon.
⭐ Kata Beach: Beautiful Sunset | Scenery | Surfing Spot
One of the best spots in Phuket to watch the sunset, with many entertainment options, close to Kata Night Market. Right at the entrance is the smart bus, adjacent to Karon Beach, about a 5-minute drive.
⭐ Phuket Town: Old Town | Michelin Food | Colorful Buildings
Various South Asian style colorful buildings, great for photography! Very suitable for shopping, check-in the same store as in the drama 'In Love'. There are also many Michelin-recommended restaurants in town, you can go to the night market and slowly experience the local culture here.
