I chose this hotel because it's pet-friendly. It's very new and exceptionally clean, even cleaner than some non-pet-friendly hotels. You'll see lots of dogs around! The breakfast area isn't huge, but everything is delicious and has its own unique touch, like homemade yogurt and chocolate spread for toast, which the kids absolutely loved. Despite many dogs staying, you don't have to worry about a bad night's sleep; the hotel has good soundproofing, and all the guests are very considerate and don't disturb each other.

My overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient access to transportation. The room was spacious, bright, and very clean, and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. The temperature and humidity inside were just right. The facilities were comprehensive; a soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing and helped ease the fatigue after hiking. The service was meticulous, thoughtful, and prompt. I had a very pleasant stay throughout my trip and would give it five stars. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Changbai Mountain. The service was very attentive, and they even gave me a small gift.

An older, upscale hotel with facilities and a layout that were top-notch in its time. While the hotel may be older, the service is still excellent! I really liked the butler online service; it's a much better experience than a budget hotel. Our family of three had a very spacious and comfortable stay! It's dry in Changbai Mountain this season, and they thoughtfully provided plenty of water! We really needed it! I haven't drunk this much water in a long time!

This is an excellent hotel with incredibly warm and attentive service! Firstly, it's the closest hotel to the old mountain gate, just a 2-minute walk away, so we didn't have to queue at all during the National Day holiday. Secondly, they offer high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off throughout our stay, and can also take us to nearby attractions. Thirdly, the breakfast was amazing! The restaurant staff were very enthusiastic and proactively asked if we needed anything. The ginseng chicken soup, noodles, dumplings, and wontons were all delicious and plentiful, perfect for us southerners. Fourthly, a dedicated butler was provided. Butler Li Chao was incredibly responsible and always ready to help with anything. Fifthly, all the front desk staff were wonderful. They helped with our luggage and reservations, and the service was exceptional. They even upgraded us to a family room when they saw I was traveling with two elderly family members, which I really appreciate. Sixthly, the hot springs were superb, and we could book them anytime. Seventhly, there's a food court right next door, making dining very convenient. The stone pot bibimbap, stir-fried pork with kimchi, and BBQ were all delicious. Eighthly, the hotel provided complimentary access to the Volcanic Stone Forest attraction, river trekking, and ginseng digging, all of which were a lot of fun and suitable for the whole family. My family had a fantastic time, and we'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Changbai Mountain.

I chose this hotel after a long search for my marathon trip to Jilin. Although it's a bit far from the city center, thankfully there's a shuttle bus, and the hotel even offers breakfast to go. The room wasn't huge, but the facilities were quite good. The only downside was that the bathroom in the river-view room also had a window, and the glass door let in too much light, waking me up bright and early in the morning...

The experience at Sheraton Changbaishan Wanda was fantastic! The hotel is ideally located right within the resort area, making it very convenient for getting around and exploring. The room was spacious and clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the mountain view was absolutely stunning. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. It's a perfect choice for families traveling with children. The overall resort feel was excellent, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Changbaishan.

The hotel is right by a forest, so the air is super fresh. It's just a few minutes' drive from the North Gate of Changbai Mountain Scenic Area. They even have a dedicated shuttle service to the scenic area, which is really convenient. Everyone at the hotel, from the owner to the staff, is very welcoming and helpful. Especially the big brother who drove us to the scenic area – he kept reminding us about safety precautions for Changbai Mountain on the way, which was very thoughtful! 👍

I'm a british traveller with a Chinese wife. I'm mostly located in China and I speak the language. Hunchun is near to Russia and most of the guests were Russian. Some of the staff can speak a few words of Russian but not much. And no English! The Hotel itself is modern, clean and very technically equipped. The toilet seat is heated, and it flushes itself. The shower took a bit of working out, but once I had mastered it, it was possibly the best shower I'd had in years. The shower is partitioned from the rest of the toilet, which isn't always the case in China. There's an AI person who greets you in Chinese when you enter, but we couldn't work out what the purpose of this was. It didn't understand English and my wife couldn't get a lot of sense out of it in Chinese. But everything else worked, including the curtains which opened and closed remotely. The TV was large and of an excellent quality. The bed was firm, but not hard like some Chinese beds can be, and we slept very comfortably. The breakfast was OK, but nothing special. My wife and I are diabetic, so we avoid sweet things. Although there was plenty of meat, vegetables and eggs to keep us going for the day, there was only sweetened coffee, sweetened milk tea and I think sweetened soy milk, in the drinks machine. We managed to get plain hot water out of the machine, but there was only paper cups provided, which was a disappointment considering the price we'd paid and the excellent standard of everything else. I would suggest a coffee machine and milk available at breakfast, and maybe a hot water urn and some tea bags. And some proper cups! I think a place of such good quality deserves a bit more of a variety of food. It was OK, but not great. Disappointing. For people on a low budget (like we were) one should bear in mind that the location isn't very central and it's a bus ride and a 25 minute walk, from the high speed rail station. Taxis are not very expensive but we don't have much money so we got local buses which are not very frequent. So I consider the location to be the most disappointing aspect of this hotel. Everything else was either fine, or excellent. We would definitely consider going there again in the future. It was also the only hotel that has allowed us the late checkout which I've been promised by Trip.com. Thank you!

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and both the environment and service are excellent. I've always loved the color scheme in the rooms. The surrounding amenities are very comprehensive, with a mall and department store right downstairs, all conveniently located.

The butler was attentive and thoughtful, helping us coordinate solutions while striking the perfect balance without being overly intrusive—it made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The guest room was exceptionally well-maintained, spacious, and meticulously clean. The bedding was soft and clean, the soundproofing was great, and we had a very peaceful sleep at night. The bathroom had stable water pressure, and the toiletries were of high quality. The public areas were kept very tidy, and the breakfast offered a rich variety with fantastic flavors. Overall, it lacks the flashy feel of over-marketing; it's a genuinely high-quality vacation experience. Solid hardware, heartwarming service, and thoughtful touches everywhere. It's perfect for both leisure getaways and short trips. Highly recommended! I will definitely choose to stay here again next time and look forward to my next visit.
