I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. It's about a 20-minute tram ride from Melbourne city center (which isn't too far, but the tram is quite slow), then a 3-5 minute walk. The area is very quiet. The double room was very spacious, I'd estimate around 30 square meters. Even with two beds, there was still plenty of extra space. There's a walk-in closet-like area connecting to the bathroom (which is relatively small). The fridge is tucked away in a cabinet. All toiletries were provided except for a toothbrush and toothpaste. For Melbourne, where space is at a premium, this location and room size at only 500 RMB a night is a fantastic deal. I had to pay a 100 AUD deposit upon check-in, which was refunded on the day of check-out.

Dorsett hotel is a great hotel, few issues, lack of parking or street access, no bathroom amenities unless you call reception and request items, breakfast was way below standard, at 9am, way too many empty dishes, no bread available, not worth the price to include breakfast in your stay, hotel has way to improve in this department. Cheaper to eat at local cafes than hotel with what was available. Not to standard for this kind of hotel.

Lovely vibes, cool chill areas, community bar and community events plus the staff especially the lovely guy who booked me in was Amazing. However it's a very crappy old building with Nil working properly showers and broken toilets. I had 1 night in a nice female room which I barely even saw as I was out and Tried to rest at a 2nd booking being shoved into a mixed smelly weird noisy dorm on a top bunk with ****** knocking on the door at all hrs, one guy snoring and another twat on the phone I told off. Was stressful and I hadn't a Warm shower in a working functioning bathroom in 2 days. Not returning. If you like noisy rude tourists and old buildings with no lift carrying your bags everywhere and no showers, great!

The bathroom design wasn't very practical. The sink in the toilet was too small to be useful at all, and the vanity outside was a waste of space, so my friend and I ended up using the kitchen sink to wash up. The hotel's location is great, but being close to the railway, you inevitably hear train noises. It was very loud in both bedrooms. Also, not every room has air conditioning; only the bedrooms do. If you close the door to other rooms while sleeping, there's no AC, which led to me getting hotter and hotter one night and sweating a lot. Opening the window was too noisy, which was a really awkward situation. The front desk is only open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, which means if you leave your luggage, you have to pick it up promptly in the evening, otherwise you'll have to wait until the next day. I think the hotel's pricing, considering it's an apartment hotel, offers great value for money, especially with its excellent location. It's very convenient to get anywhere. There's a free tram stop right outside, and South Cross Station is just one street and one intersection away. Plus, both one-day tours we booked had nearby pick-up points, which was a nice surprise we didn't know before booking the tours.

PIck up and delivery from and to the airport was very easy. I called and they came right away. The room was spotless and very comfortable. They had a food cart for breakfast and dinner and both meals were excellent. I highly share this hotel.

The hotel is beautifully designed and very well maintained. Everything was clean and tidy throughout my stay. The location is excellent, with convenient access to transport and nearby attractions. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

The room is simple but the basic facilities are complete. The park has a tennis court swimming pool and children's entertainment equipment. There are washing and cooking tools and tableware in the room. The overall service is satisfactory. As a motel, it should be considered very satisfactory.

We had booked a room with a queen bed, the room we were given had a double. While at a birthday party I received a call and was offered to option to change rooms which I declined as I had no idea when we were getting back which ended up being late. The heater did not work, the shower leaked water all over the floor and the cabin smelt like it had been locked up for months, a pretty disappointing stay

Very comfortable and spacious apartment in a central location. Had a nice stay at the property and it was fant.astic value. Requested an early check-in, which did cost half the price of an overnight stay which was a bit of a costly let down, and also had the request for late checkout rejected - which was also disappointing. Construction in the building was a bit of a nuisance, particularly regarding the elevator, which seemed to have troubles of its own without the constant usage by tradies travelling up and down throughout the day. Despite these minor inconveniences it was a very comfortable stay at a lovely apartment that I would certainly come back ro
