The cod goujon sandwich was really tasty, and the chips were piping hot. I liked the vibe here – the place has a nice, relaxed feel to it. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Decent spot for a cheap pint. The space is huge, so even when it's packed you're not on top of each other. Grabbed some nachos to share – they were fine, nothing special, but hit the spot. Good for a casual weekend meet-up.

As a student, I really appreciate the reasonable prices here. The staff are lovely, and Benedict pours a great pint of Guinness. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe that's perfect for a casual hangout.

Staff were very helpful with my dairy-free request. They knew the menu well and made good substitutions. Service was efficient, no long waits.

Love the vibe in here - the dark wood and cosy corners make it feel like a proper old pub. Came in for a quiet pint on a Tuesday afternoon and it was just the spot. Could happily sit for hours.

We never have a problem with the food. It is always that bit different, well cooked, and well presented. It is becoming one of our favourite places to eat.

The back garden is a proper sun trap. Had a pint there in January, and it was genuinely pleasant. Good spot for a quiet drink.

Nicola and George were so helpful when we needed to change our order last minute. They sorted it all out without any fuss, which was a relief. The whole thing felt very calm and easy.

Came for the Sunday roast, and the beef was so tender it just fell apart. Massive portion too, I could barely finish it! Really cosy spot for a lazy weekend.

A bit tricky to find down that little side street, but glad we did. The welcome was genuinely warm, which made all the difference. Felt like a proper neighbourhood spot.

The steak and ale pie here is a proper portion. What I really liked was the freshness of the vegetables served alongside. They tasted just-picked, which made the whole meal feel balanced and wholesome. A solid, reliable spot for a satisfying lunch.

Second time here on a Wednesday. It was quiet. The chicken was tasty and good quality, but the portion felt a bit small for the price.

Been coming here for years, and they never miss. Had our wedding reception here too. The team just gets it right every single time, same great food and service. That consistency is why we keep coming back.

Caught the match here last night. It’s a proper local, buzzing when the game's on. Loads of screens, so you won't miss a thing. The vibe is spot on for that.

Service gets a bit slow when they're packed, but the staff are always polite and trying their best.

The bartender really knew his rums. I told him I usually go for something dark, and he suggested a specific one that was spot on. Friendly chat, no pressure. The rest of the team seemed nice too, but he made the visit.

Lovely village pub with a proper old-school feel. The low ceilings and dark wood make it cosy, even on a rainy Tuesday. Had a decent pint and a solid pie. Just the right kind of place to unwind.

Came in for a couple of pints. Honestly, the price on drinks is the main draw. Two rounds here felt like what I'd pay for one in most other places around. Just a solid, no-fuss spot for that.

Had a decent group dinner here with 12 people. The lamb was pretty good, just as we'd hoped. Service was efficient and they handled our large table fine, though it did get a bit loud in our corner.

The steak and kidney pudding was a proper cosy pub classic. Perfect for a catch-up with mates on a chilly evening.

Clyde the dog is a lovely touch, makes the place feel really welcoming. But honestly, the portion sizes for the price? A bit on the small side. My fish and chips was tasty, just left me wanting a bit more.

Solid spot for a post-work pint. The Abbot Ale was spot on and reasonably priced. Good range of real ales on tap too. Service was efficient, got my order sorted quickly.

I chose the Hedgehog as I wasn't from around the area and was going on a date. I saw previous ratings and thought it looked beautiful. It was, It was a perfect relaxed setting with lots of character. I cant wait to come back, especially in the summer as the grounds looked lovely. Thank you for a service we had a wonderful time. We will definately be returning. Staff were extremely polite and attentive, Food was beautiful, Great prices, I downloaded the app so I was lucky enough to receive 50% off mains. Thank you.

The pool table was a fun surprise, you don't see that much anymore. It was a nice way to pass a little time while waiting for our food. The whole place just felt really relaxed and easygoing.

The fish and chips were spot on. But honestly, what stood out was the bar area itself. It had this lovely, relaxed vibe with really comfortable stools. Just a nice place to unwind and enjoy a pint with your meal.

A nice place to bring the dog. I appreciate that they use fresh, local ingredients in their pub classics. The fish and chips were light and not greasy, which is a plus. The atmosphere is cozy and traditional, perfect for a relaxed chat.

Loved the old beams and traditional decor. Such a cosy spot for a quiet drink.

Booked for a big group birthday (18 of us!) with a pre-order. Everything came out so fast, which was perfect when you're trying to catch up with everyone. Luke at the bar was a legend, kept the whole table laughing. Made the night easy.

Proper little backstreet local, exactly what you want. Cozy, friendly vibe and they're happy to have dogs in. The jukebox is a great touch, had a good laugh picking tunes. Just a really nice, unpretentious spot for a pint.
