Came for a midweek dinner with mates. The steak pie was huge, honestly couldn't finish it all. For under £15, that's a proper portion. The gravy was a bit thin, but for the price and size, you really can't complain.

The staff were really friendly and helpful with storing our luggage. The room was kept spotlessly clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. A good budget option.

Perfect for a quick bite after a hike. Good parking. Shandy and cheesy chips hit the spot.

We stayed on the campsite and had dinner at the pub. The food was all homemade, which I really appreciate. You could taste the freshness in the vegetables, they were crisp and vibrant. A nice, simple meal after a long day.

Popped in for a late lunch. The tomahawk pork cutlet was the standout - perfectly cooked, juicy inside with a proper crispy crust. Portions are definitely generous, no skimping here. My only niggle was the chips with the fish were a touch soggy. Still, left very full.

Came for the bottomless brunch. Good value for the price. The cocktails were well-made and solid. Place does get very busy, so service can slow down a bit. Worth knowing if you're on a tight schedule.

A proper old-school pub, love the atmosphere. Their ale selection is solid, had a nice pint that went down a treat. Gets a bit loud later on a Saturday, but that’s part of the charm.

The £3.10 Carling is a proper steal. Burger was spot on, really juicy. Shout out to Jack for the service, he was sound and got the order right. Solid spot for a quick bite.

Popped in for breakfast, everything was piping hot. Haydn was so friendly and polite, really made the morning. The food was tasty, just a solid start to the day.

The drinks menu is solid, good range of beers and spirits. Prices are fair, which is a plus. The drinks are reliably good, that's the main draw for me.

Good family spot. The kids' menu is great, and the staff were so patient with our little ones. The wine list had some nice, approachable options too.

Stopped in for dinner. The pasta was decent, and the gelato was pretty good. Nice views from the patio, and they were fine with our dog. Parking was easy. A solid spot.

Lovely pub in a pretty village. The outdoor area is a real plus, especially with the playground – perfect for families. We had a nice lunch there.

Been coming here for years, and the cozy pub vibe is what keeps me coming back. It's just the right spot to unwind after a long day. The atmosphere is consistently relaxed, never feels rushed.

Thursday quiz night is a blast! The host keeps it lively and it's free to join. We grabbed the student deal on drinks and ended up winning a bar tab. Perfect for a laugh with mates.

The scones were lovely, crisp outside and fluffy inside. But the afternoon tea set is a bit pricey for what you get.

The dirty fries were a real highlight, so much flavour and surprisingly filling for a small plate. The cocktails looked great but service was a bit slow, had to wait a while to order a second round.

The rum tasting with Tom was good. He had his own notes and knew his stuff. For the price though, I expected a slightly bigger pour of each sample.

The beer garden is really nice, especially on a sunny afternoon. Staff were quick with our drinks. Prices seemed fair for what you get.

Been coming here for years, and it's the consistency that keeps me coming back. That historic building and the Tudor vibe never get old. The food's always solid - had the steak and ale pie again last week, and it was just as good as ever. A proper, reliable spot.

Popped in for lunch while on a work trip. The daily specials were pretty good, with some nice Italian touches. Proper home-cooked style, a decent change from the usual. Portions were generous, though the dining room was a bit warm.

The beer selection is solid, and the atmosphere is genuinely warm. The decor is a bit rustic and could use a refresh in spots, but it didn't detract from a good evening. A reliable spot for a casual pint.

Stopped by for a burger and a pint. The burger itself was decent, but the bun was a bit dry and cold. Service was friendly and quick though, which is what you want on a casual visit.

The steak tasting menu was a nice change of pace. The meat was cooked just right, which I really appreciated. My favourite part was the passion fruit soda from their soft drinks list – it felt fresh and not overly sweet. A good option if you're looking for something lighter.

The cod and prawn linguine was really creamy, just the right amount. The prawns were plump and fresh. Menu's got a fair few options, but I was happy sticking with this one.

Nice spot for a quick lunch. Service was fast and efficient, got my order out in no time. The place has a good vibe, modern and not too loud. Perfect for when you just need to grab a bite and get back to it.
