We arrived for a 12.15 pm lunch in order to beat the busy period. Most customers were outside in the sunshine but we had chosen to eat indoors. The chairs were very comfortable and the ambiance very tasteful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My sister in law and I had the sea bass fillets and my husband had the gammon. Plates were all clean and my husband and I had a dessert. We will be back the next time we visit the area.

Popped in for a quick bite after getting off the train. The location is spot on, right in the middle of everything. Easy to find and a good starting point for a wander around town.

Steak and ale pie was decent. But the venison pie... that one really hit the spot. Perfectly seasoned, proper comfort food on a cold day. That's the one to get.

Been coming here for years. It's the consistency that keeps me coming back - the Sunday roast is always spot on, just like you remember it from last time. That's what you want from a proper local.

Lovely spot for a quiet pint. Sat outside in the sunshine, which was just right. The atmosphere is very relaxed, you can hear all the happy chatter around. A really comfortable way to spend an afternoon.

The steak and ale pie is the reason I come here. The pastry is crisp, the filling is rich and the gravy is thick. It's a proper pub classic. The separate dining room is handy if you're in a rush for a show.

Perfect for a quick lunch. Grabbed a pint and a burger, service was fast. Good spot right in the centre. Beer choice is decent, some wines are a bit steep though.

The service at Canon was exceptional, especially from Oliver and Will, who were attentive to our needs and made sure we felt comfortable with our allergies.

The live band upstairs was a nice touch. The music wasn't too loud, so you could still talk. It started right at 7pm like they said. Good spot to watch the bar area below.

The fish and chips were spot on - crispy batter, fluffy chips. Service was friendly but a bit slow, probably because of the holiday rush.

Booked ahead for the rugby. Got a good table with a clear view of the screen. Staff were on it - kept checking if we needed more drinks. Wings and the burger were solid. Exactly what you want for a match.

Been coming here for years for their Sunday roast. The garden's a nice spot when it's sunny. Portion's always big and you never wait long. It's just a solid, reliable meal.

Been coming here for years, and the steaks are always spot on. Medium-rare, just how I like it, every single time. That consistency keeps me coming back. Alex’s recommendations are solid, too.

The burgers were the standout. Juicy patties, proper brioche buns, and the chips were spot on. Classic pub food done right.

The pub quiz was a fun way to spend an evening. It felt like a proper community event, which was lovely. The prizes were a nice touch, too.

Had a lovely evening with great food and a nice atmosphere. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

The Sunday roast is a proper feed for a group! Massive, thick slices of all three meats. We shared a platter and still had leftovers. The vibe is spot on for a lazy catch-up with friends.

Visited this pub recently and was impressed by the quality of service and the variety of drink options available. A must-visit when in the area!

No reservations for small groups, so had to queue for 15 mins. Staff were really on it though, got my order sorted fast. Good spot for a quick, relaxed lunch. Music was decent too.

The staff were really lovely, sorted out a mix-up with our reservation without any fuss. Their friendly vibe made the evening so much more relaxed. A nice touch was the waiter's suggestion for a glass of red to go with the steak - spot on.

The room was so spacious and modern, perfect for a little pre-dinner catch-up with the girls. We could all spread out without feeling cramped. Staff were lovely too, really friendly when we asked for extra towels.

Fantastic food. Great balance of flavours across lots of dishes. The wine was an excellent example of Alsacienne pinot blanc. Relaxed and informal. Loved it

The local ales here are spot on. Good value for the quality, and they're on the Cask Marque trail for a reason.

The brewery tour with Max was pretty good. He clearly knows his stuff and the tasting was decent. Just wish it had been a bit longer.

Lovely little local pub, perfect for catching up with mates. The vibe is super cosy, and the food is way better than you'd expect for the price. We had the fish and chips and it was spot on. Will definitely be back for more casual drinks!

Great spot for a quick bite with the dog. Staff are friendly, they even have water bowls out. Food came fast, burger was decent. Nice to see a place that welcomes the whole family. 👍

Good pub quiz night, and the food's solid. Had the fish and chips, batter was crisp, chips proper chunky. Staff were really friendly, even sorted a table for our group last minute.

Been coming here for years, and the beef roast is always spot on. Never greasy, never dry. Just a solid, reliable Sunday lunch by the canal. That's what keeps me coming back.

I enjoyed a lovely lunch at this pub, with great service and some of the best food I've had in Bath in years. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good meal!
