Lovely staff, but the portion size for the main was a bit smaller than I expected for the price. Still, the food was really good. Just left wanting a bit more on the plate for a Friday treat.

The Caesar salad was so fresh, the lettuce crisp and the dressing light. The truffle parmesan fries were a nice treat, though a bit heavy for my usual lunch. A good spot for a simple, quality meal.

The karaoke host here is brilliant, keeps the energy up all night. Saw some genuinely talented regulars take the mic, made for a really fun Friday vibe.

The kitchen was really humming even when they were packed. My steak came out piping hot and perfectly cooked.

Great spot by the castle. The portions are huge and everything was fresh and hot. Kids were happy!

Been coming here for years, and the coffee's always spot on. It's the one thing I know won't change. Just a consistently good flat white, every single time.

First time here and loved the vibe. The building has so much history, you can feel it in the old wooden floors and the quirky layout. A proper local spot.

A cosy Scottish pub with local cask ales. The staff were very kind, which made it a relaxed spot for a quiet pint.

Such a sweet little family-run place. We rocked up super late on a Friday and they still squeezed us in. The vibe was so relaxed, just right for catching up with mates over a long dinner.

My regular spot for a quick bite. Food's always reliable, and the staff are super friendly. The new refurb makes it a bright, cheerful space now. Perfect for a fast lunch.

The staff were really helpful with my allergy questions. They brought over a detailed menu and took their time explaining everything. Service was quick and friendly, which made for a relaxed evening. A solid spot if you have dietary needs.

Came for Valentine's lunch. The Eton Mess was just right, not too sweet, and the mini apple crumble still warm. We cleared both plates. Nice little treat.

James is always so helpful and kind. Makes dining out with children much easier.

A classic old pub with a lot of local history. The front bar is cosy for a quiet pint, but I much preferred the back area. The seating there is so comfortable, you can really settle in and relax. It makes for a very pleasant, easy-going visit.

Spaghetti and meatballs hit the spot. The meatballs were huge, sauce had a nice tang to it. Just what I needed on a random Tuesday.

Been a few years. Place got a nice refresh inside. Lamb chops and tikka platter starter were solid, naan was good too. Quick lunch sorted.

Been here a few times. Staff are always friendly, no fuss. My kid got a balloon last visit, which was a nice touch. They remember regulars.

Our server Paul was great. Really knew the menu, suggested the pork belly and it was spot on. Made the whole thing easy.

Been coming here for years, and the staff always remember my name. Makes it feel like a proper local spot, even though it's right in the centre. They're just genuinely nice people.

The ordering system is a bit different, you order at the counter first. But the staff were really nice explaining it. Food came out super quick after that. Good portions for the price, felt like a solid deal.

Lunch for one: the mini haddock and chips were spot on, really fresh. The mushy peas were a nice touch.

Chicken paradise salad was spot on. Fresh, crisp greens. The baked potato is huge, could be a meal on its own. Solid lunch spot.

The takeaway arrived in a reusable bag, which was thoughtful. The food was good, but I wish they had some wine pairing suggestions on the menu.

Christmas lunch for four. Food was tasty, cooked just right. Staff were quick and friendly. Santa popped in, nice festive touch. Good for a holiday meal.

The bill was a nice surprise. Two of us had three courses and a couple of drinks, and it was still under £70. Felt like a fair deal for what we got.
