Lovely little place, feels like it's been here forever. The fish and chips were spot on – crispy batter, flaky fish. The owner came by just to ask how everything was, which was a nice touch.

Popped in for a quick bite with the dog. They were cool about it. The hot beef baguette was spot on, really good chips and gravy too. Simple stuff, but they do it right.

Lovely spot for a light lunch. I popped in after browsing the bookstore next door – that connection makes it feel so cosy. Had a simple sandwich and a pot of Earl Grey, just perfect for a quiet afternoon.

Service was really on point. They were polite, attentive, and actually helpful when I couldn't decide on a dish. Not pushy at all.

Been coming here for years, and the fish and chips are always spot on. Good size portion, never greasy. It's the one thing I know I can count on. Quick service too, which is a bonus when you're in a hurry.

Lovely open space, and the drinks selection is impressive. Really appreciate the focus on fresh ingredients.

Been coming here for years. Their burgers are always juicy and full of flavour, just how I like them. The Argentinian steak fries are a solid choice too. It's my go-to for a reliable meal.

The staff were so nice and attentive, which made the whole evening really pleasant. My meal was lovely too. Just a small thing, but the chairs were a bit hard for a longer dinner. Still, I'd happily return.

The place just feels so cosy and welcoming. Staff are lovely and really know their stuff - they suggested a dish I'd never have ordered myself and it was spot on.

Service was quick even on a busy Saturday. Staff were attentive, didn't feel rushed at all. Made for a nice, relaxed meal.

Service is always friendly and quick, even when they're slammed. Got my order in and out fast, perfect for a quick lunch. Staff remembered my usual, nice touch.

Tried their festive turkey sandwich for the first time. The poached eggs were runny just right, and the avocado was super fresh. Cleaned my plate, so that says it all. A solid lunch spot.

They let us store our luggage for the day while we visited. Really helpful, meant we could wander around without dragging our bags everywhere. A nice touch.

A handy spot just off the motorway, next to a Premier Inn. Decent for a straightforward meal when you don't fancy driving any further. The pasta was pretty good, though the sauce was a touch heavy for me. Fine for what it is.

The bottomless pizza deal is a steal. Slices are massive, and the staff kept my plate topped up without me even asking. Felt like a proper feast without the usual rush.

The steak pie was the highlight for me. The pastry was perfectly flaky and the filling was so rich and tender. Couldn't get enough of it!

What an amazing little country pub, restaurant and hotel with beautiful views, varied and traditional home cooked food and very comfortable room. Would highly recommend.

Been coming here since I moved to Carlisle. The chicken is always juicy and full of flavour, which is why I keep ordering.

The fish and chips are spot on. The triple-cooked chips are properly crispy, and the fish is lovely. Solid pub grub.

Been coming here for years, and the drinks menu is always spot on. My usual is the house negroni, never disappoints. Nice to see they've kept the place dog-friendly too, makes it easy for a regular like me.

Food came out quick and tasted just like the little places in Heraklion. Really hit the spot.

The piri piri sauce is lovely, really adds a nice kick. They're generous with the chips too, which is always a plus. My only small note is that the seating is a bit snug, so it's not the most comfortable for a long, relaxed meal.
