The terrace really is the place to be if you want to watch the ships drift by. They hand out blankets when it gets breezy, which I appreciated. Food was decent, nothing mind-blowing, but fair for the price. Service friendly enough. Solid pick if you're near the harbor and don't want to overthink it.

Stopped by this little spot under the pedestrian zone. Raspberry cake with pistachio sauce was the standout – really nice combo. Ice cream was decent too. They even had oat milk for my cappuccino, which I didn't expect. Portion sizes are fair for what you pay. Nothing fancy, but it does the job if you're in the area.

The breakfast spread was solid. Fresh bread, good cheese, eggs done right. Portions were generous too. I only really care about the food itself, and it delivered. Maybe not the cheapest option around, but you get what you pay for. I'd come back just for that morning meal.

Service was really good when we stopped by. Friendly people, quick, and they kept checking if everything was alright. Made us feel looked after, no complaints there. Maybe a bit too attentive at times, but honestly, that's better than trying to flag someone down. Solid spot if you're after decent service.

Stopped by for dinner last week. Duck was really good, honestly some of the best I've had in the area. Lychee cocktail was nice too, not too sweet. Dessert menu had a few solid options. Place was a bit busy but we got a table quick. Fine for a casual night out, nothing fancy but solid.

The schnitzel buffet was solid — crispy breading, fresh salads, and the sauces had something different to offer. Service stayed friendly the whole time.

Stopped by for a late afternoon snack. Had the waffles with strawberries and cream—pretty generous portion, honestly. Waffle itself was crisp, not soggy. Place is tiny though, got busy fast. We managed to grab a table but I could see it being a problem at peak times. Maybe call ahead if you're going with a group.

Big portions and the roasted peppers were a nice touch. Food was solid, nothing crazy but satisfying. Place gets packed on weekends though, so better book a table if you're planning to go then. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

The fish and schnitzel were spot on, though portions lean small for what you pay. The quiet setting made up for it though. A nice glass of Riesling paired well with the meal.

Went there on a Friday night and it was packed, had to queue a bit at the door. They even charged a small cover, which caught me off guard. But once inside, the vibe was fun for hanging out with friends. Just go early if you don't wanna wait around. 😅

Decent spot right by the fjord. We sat outside, view over the water was really nice. Had the currywurst and fries, pretty standard but fine. The fish cake sandwich was better though, homemade and quite tasty. Good for a casual lunch if you're in the area. Just a bit busy when we were there.

The new setup with the big windows is nice, especially when they open it up on a sunny day. Carrot cake was solid, pretty big slice for the price. I'd say it's worth grabbing if you're already in the area.

The schnitzel was easily the best I’ve had in a long time. Interior’s really elegant too, and the service stayed sharp even when it got busy. Solid pick if you’re in Kiel.

Lunch buffet for €11.90 is a solid deal. Liked that they bring the teppanyaki straight to your table, saves the hassle of getting up.

Came here for a vegan brunch and honestly the food was fresh, really tasty. Staff were nice too, didn't mind swapping a few things for me. Only thing — the room gets loud, like echo-y loud. Hard to hear my friend across the table. Still, decent spot if you're not in a rush.

Solid breakfast spot if you're into quality over quantity. Ingredients tasted fresh, but the portion was kinda small for the price.

The carbonara here was properly done—creamy, not too heavy, with real guanciale. I appreciated that they didn’t overload it with cream like some places do. Sat outside, which was pleasant enough. My only small gripe: the pasta could’ve been a touch more al dente. But for a quick lunch in the center, it hit the spot.

Pizza was solid, no complaints there. Dough was light, toppings piled on pretty generously. But honestly, for what you pay, I expected a bit more. It's not cheap, and while it's good, I'm not sure it's "one of the best" good. Fine for a stop if you're nearby, just don't expect a bargain.

Lovely spot right on the beach. Staff were friendly and the fish tasted really fresh. Prices are a bit high, but the view makes up for it.

Stopped here for a drink and the view alone is worth it. Baltic Sea right in front of you, hard to beat. Cocktail was solid, nothing crazy but well made. Staff friendly, didn’t have to wait long. Prices though… a bit steep for what it is. But you’re paying for the spot, I guess. Fine for one round.

The seasonal waffle with strawberries looked almost too good to eat. The ice cream portion was generous, not just one scoop. Prices are fair for what you get. Service was quick, which I appreciated since I was on a tight schedule. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The Syrian breakfast here really stood out—that Arabic coffee was something else. It’s not cheap, but honestly, the flavors are so unique and the quality is there. I’d say it’s worth the splurge if you’re into trying something different. Just be ready to pay a bit more than your usual breakfast spot.

Nice cake selection, and they actually have a vegan breakfast option. Staff was friendly enough. Got my order quick, which I appreciate during lunch rush. Solid spot for a quick bite.

Great restaurant with delicious food, friendly efficient service and in a charming part of Schleswig Holstein. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. Susi and Aart Weijburg

The buckwheat cake was honestly the highlight — dense, nutty, and big enough to feel like a proper snack. The apple punch with cream and cinnamon on top was good too, though maybe a touch sweet for me. Cozy little place, kinda like sitting in someone's living room. Paid around €8 for both, which felt fair for the portion.

The garlic dip served with the bread is a delightful start to the meal, and the fruit lemonades are refreshing and delicious.

Great ice cream right by the Kiel Canal. Watched the big ships pass while eating my scoop. They even have a vending machine for after closing, which is pretty handy. 🍦
