The wine list here is thoughtful—our bottle paired beautifully with the tasting menu. Simone's team poured generously and knew their stuff. Rotating menu keeps it interesting, though the space gets a bit loud when it's full.

The reading bar and garden are such a peaceful combo. Staff were super friendly too, and those little snacks hit the spot.

The decor is nice and cozy, but honestly I only care about the food. The duck was tender and the sauce had real depth. Would come back just for that dish.

Loved the location right in the Old Town. Such a convenient spot. We walked from the station with our bags, no hassle at all. Easy to pop out for a stroll after dinner too. Perfect for exploring.

Been coming here for years. Food's always solid, open kitchen is a nice touch. Prices fair for Switzerland, not cheap but you get what you pay for. Had the pasta this time, still good. Place gets busy around noon though.

The menu changes every two weeks depending on what’s local, which I really appreciate. Portions are pretty small though—we ordered three dishes and still left a bit hungry. Tasting menu’s probably the smarter move if you’ve got a bigger appetite. Good spot for a lighter dinner, just don’t come starving.

Chef Petkovic's custom interaction and delicious dishes truly elevate the dining experience here. Highly recommend trying the sausage/pasta dish!

Portofino offers a cozy and elegant atmosphere, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. The service is top-notch, with attentive staff ready to assist with menu selections.

Near the train station and tram junction. Sit outside and people and tram watch. Nice staff, friendly, quick service, delicious food.

Food’s good, no question. But man, the bill adds up quick. We had the pasta and a salad, nothing fancy, and it felt steep for what you get. Quality’s there though, so if you’re okay splurging a bit, it works. Just don’t come here expecting a cheap lunch.

Tried the new chef's tasting menu. It's modern but still feels grounded. The duck course really stood out – bold flavors but not too fussy. The staff was chill and knew their stuff. You can tell they put thought into it.

Ribeye came out medium, nice color. Could've used more crust but the garlic spinach and fries were solid. Quick enough for a lunch stop.

Been coming here for a while now. The ajiaco is still as good as the first time I tried it. Service stays friendly too, even when they're busy.

Stopped by for a quick bite. Service was friendly and fast, no complaints there. Food was okay, pretty standard stuff. The poppyseed cake though, that was the highlight. Nice little finish to the meal. Nothing crazy but it did the job for a casual stop.

Been here a few times now. The Waku Waku katsu sandwich is solid, and the smash burgers hold up too. Quality's surprisingly good for what you pay, even if the pop-up setup feels a bit thrown together.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Place is big and right in the center, easy to find. Bollywood music was playing, decor’s got that Indian vibe. Food came out fast, which I appreciated. Had a decent curry, nothing mind-blowing but solid for a midday break. If you’re in a hurry and want something decent, it works.

The pumpkin soup with orange juice was something else — never had that combo before. Sat outside and honestly felt like I was back in the Alps. Just a really nice spot to have coffee and watch people go by. Wish the seating was a bit more comfortable though, my back started hurting after a while.

The lunch menu here is honestly a solid deal for Bern. Soup was simple, fine. But the tartare? Really well done. Doesn’t wreck your wallet either, which feels rare in this city. I just wish the bread came a bit warmer, that’s all.

Great gin list and the Gin Basil Smash was spot on. Nice spot to unwind after work, though it got a bit loud later.

Prices are steep, even for Switzerland, but the portions are generous enough that I didn't feel ripped off. Solid pick if you're already in the city center and hungry.

The inner terrace gets nice sun, so we grabbed a seat there. Daily pasta came out properly al dente, big portion too. I had a glass of the house red with it, decent enough pairing. Place was calm for a weekday lunch, no rush at all. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something simple.

Came on a busy Friday without a booking and they squeezed us in downstairs. The risotto was really tasty, creamy and full of flavor. My aglio olio was a bit dry though, but a quick drizzle of olive oil sorted it out. Nice spot for a casual catch-up with friends, nothing too fancy. 😊

Been coming here for a while now. Daily menu with pork and fries is still under 20 CHF, can't beat that for the area. Service stays quick too.

Loved that the dining room wasn't overcrowded on a Saturday night. Food was well-prepared and service friendly. Just wish the dessert portion had been a bit bigger for the price.

Stopped by after a movie on Monday, place was packed which surprised me. Had the veal liver with polenta, really fresh, cooked just right. Lasagna was solid too, tasted homemade. Service kept up even with the crowd. Only thing, it got a bit loud with everyone talking, but that's kind of expected when it's that busy. Good spot for a casual dinner.

The jazz hotel setting is pretty unique, and the food was fresh. Prices are steep, but that's Switzerland for you. Good for a special night out.

Solid pasta, made fresh. Pizza was good too. Staff helped us pick, that was nice. Busy food court vibe though.

The creative sushi rolls are consistently good. That's really what I come back for. The place gets busy but the fish always tastes fresh.

Popped in for a quick lunch before my train. In and out in 25 minutes, which was perfect for my schedule. The pasta was solid, but honestly, the real highlight was the wine list—found a nice Sicilian red that paired beautifully with the tomato-based sauce. Service was efficient and friendly without hovering. Would've liked a bit more time to linger, but that's on me.
