Our hotel recommended this place, and it&rsquo;s exactly the kind of restaurant you&rsquo;d normally walk right past without a second thought. From the outside, there&rsquo;s no visible dining area as each table is tucked away in private rooms, and the Hakka tradition of warmly inviting guests in for complimentary tea might feel a little unexpected and may put people on guard/suspicious.We ordered three dishes, and every one of them was outstanding. The hosts went above and beyond, serving us tea and two types of dessert on the house, and even arranging a ride back to our hotel afterward. We didn&rsquo;t manage to snap any photos&mdash;we were far too busy enjoying every bite.The restaurant is housed within a tulou, and the owners still live there along with their extended families. It feels pretty awesome to have experienced a small little part of the Hakka tradition.
