Been craving proper Caribbean food, and Maureen's hit the spot. The curried goat with rice and peas was the real deal – tender meat, rich gravy, and that authentic spice blend. Prices are very fair for the quality.

The food had a nice, home-cooked feel to it. My pasta was hot and full of flavour, just right. The place itself is simple, no fuss, which I liked. Portions were a bit on the smaller side, but it was a decent meal.

The calzone was massive and fresh, really hit the spot on a rainy day. The kids' meal for under a tenner was a decent deal too.

Had our wedding here. The art deco venue was a really stylish setting, and the food got loads of compliments from our guests.

Really liked the focus on traditional cooking here. You can tell they care about where the ingredients come from. The whole experience felt very genuine and comfortable.

The Sunday roast is a highlight for me. The beef was tender, and I really appreciated the fresh, seasonal vegetables on the side. A lovely, simple meal.

Came for a quick bite before the movies. Really appreciated how fresh the ingredients tasted in my salad, especially the greens. It felt like a proper, healthy start to the evening. Service was friendly and efficient, which was perfect for our timing.

Been here a few times for the bottomless brunch. Paolo, the floor manager, runs a tight ship, always on top of refills. Food's decent, drinks are good. A solid option if you're in the area.

The wine list here is impressive. I had a glass of their house red with the coq au vin, and it was a spot-on pairing. Really made the dish sing. A bit pricey on the drinks, but that’s expected. Solid spot for a relaxed evening.

Patrik was a really good server. He knew the menu well and made some nice cocktails for our table. Handled a big group without any fuss. A solid experience.

The bottomless brunch was solid. Jazmin was a star, really knew her stuff with the cocktails and kept the refills coming right on time for the full two hours. Made the whole thing a breeze.

Loved the interior design here! The food was fantastic, and the staff were so kind. A great first impression of York.

Perfect for a quick bite. The truffle gnocchi was the standout, really tasty. Drinks were good too. Service was quick, got me in and out fast. Just what I needed.

The full English breakfast was a decent portion for the price. Two eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, and toast. Filled me up for the whole morning. The waffles looked good too, maybe next time.

Rachel was so attentive at brunch, our glasses were never empty. I really appreciated how fresh the ingredients tasted in my avocado toast, you could tell it was just made. A lovely spot for a relaxed weekend meal.

The gluten-free menu is solid. Staff knew their stuff when I asked about allergies.

The team here were really nice. They didn't mind us taking photos at all and were happy to help when we asked about the menu. Made the whole thing feel relaxed.

Booked the pub for a birthday do. Staff were really helpful with our requests for the music and decorations, which made things easy.

Nice spot with a decent beer garden for dogs. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. Enjoyed a pleasant afternoon.

Been here a few times. The beer garden is a real plus on a sunny day. Inside feels cozy, like a proper local. Food's decent, nothing fancy. Gets a bit busy at weekends.

Stayed here after a long day on the Coast to Coast path. The room was modern and spotless. That walk-in shower was a lifesaver – powerful and no flooding at all. Just what you need.

Found this little spot just outside the centre. The Everest Taas was spot on, and the pickle tray really worked with it. They've got a decent local beer selection too, which paired nicely with the spices. Simple place, but the flavours are all there.

Great spot for live music. Sound system is solid, not too loud. Caught a couple of good acts last Friday. Cozy vibe, perfect for a quick drink after work.

Dog-friendly spot. Staff were helpful. Got the blueberry cake latte and a raspberry iced latte. Interesting flavours, worked well. My dog enjoyed their snack too. Solid coffee.

The staff were so nice, especially with our dog. They even brought him a water bowl. Felt like we were just popping round a friend's place.

The Sunday roast here is a solid choice. Meat was cooked just right, trimmings were all good. Got my plate in under 15 minutes, which is perfect for a quick, filling lunch. No fuss, just a proper feed.

Great spot to bring the pup! The vibe is super chill, which I love. But honestly, the portions for the price felt a bit on the small side. My sandwich was tasty, just left me wanting a bit more for what I paid.

The scones were spot on, and the house sparkling wine was a nice touch with them. A solid choice for a relaxed afternoon.

Great place, friendly staff good GF options! Pizza/burgers also looked great. Beer pong and good cocktails on offer

Such a nice spot to catch up with friends! The decor is modern and tasteful, really cosy. We ended up staying for ages just chatting.
