The secluded location is ideal for a quiet dinner. We lingered over a bottle of their house red, which paired nicely with the pasta. A bit of a wait for the main course, but the peaceful setting made it easy to relax.

The 3-minute hourglass for grilling oysters is a great idea. Makes it easy to get them just right.

Booked for opening time and it was already buzzing. Cozy vibe, very relaxed. Definitely a local favorite, so glad we reserved ahead.

The coffee here is fantastic, really well-balanced. I had it with their signature salty-sweet sandwich, and the pairing was spot on. The view of the bay from the outdoor seating is lovely, makes for a relaxing afternoon. Pastry selection looked good too.

Been coming here for years. The 5,000 yen course with nomihodai is my go-to. Food's always served hot, and you really taste the season. It's that consistency I keep coming back for.

This cafe is a great choice for families with children, as it offers a welcoming atmosphere and a special children's menu. Dishes like Hayashi rice and Cafelier rice are particularly delicious and enjoyable.

Staff were really friendly even on a busy night. One of the chefs actually stepped out from the kitchen to help us figure out the ticket machine. That was a nice touch. Service felt attentive without being overbearing.

Been coming here for years. The lunch plate is always limited, but that's part of the charm. It's consistently good, simple, and well-presented. Just a reliable spot for a quiet midday bite.

Got here right at opening, still had to wait a bit. Line builds up fast. But the food came out quick once I ordered. Good for a fast lunch.

The older couple who run this place are so kind. They remembered my order from last time and checked in just the right amount. It feels like visiting family friends. The food is simple but cooked with care.

The tablet ordering is a nice touch, makes it simple. Saw the staff help an older gentleman at the next table, very patient and kind. Good to see.

The cinnamon roll was a pleasant surprise. Dough was nicely moist, not dry at all. The cinnamon flavor came through clearly, which I liked. Good value for what you get.

The U-shaped counter is a great spot to watch them make the oden. Really felt that cozy Showa vibe.

Quick and friendly service. They kept us updated on the wait, which was nice.

The horumon yaki udon was the highlight. The noodles had a nice chew, and the sauce was just savory enough. Couldn’t stop eating it.

The set with ramen and fried rice is a good choice. The broth had a sweet, deep flavor without being heavy. The fried rice went well with it. My seat was a bit cramped, but the service was friendly and attentive. A comfortable spot for a quiet meal.

Came back twice for the Setouchi Weizen. Sat on the terrace both times, just watching the sea. The bread basket is good, but honestly, it's the beer and that view I keep coming for.

Love the tatami seating and the retro vibe. The hotplate at each table keeps the okonomiyaki warm the whole time you're eating.

The rabbit food here is fresh and crisp. Good for a quick snack before the ferry.

The soy broth here is clean and not too heavy. Had the ramen for lunch, left a nice aftertaste without that greasy feeling. Just what I wanted.

The place is way bigger inside than you'd think from the street. We got a tatami spot and it was super comfy, even with a full house. Good for a long, relaxed meal without feeling rushed.

Super convenient spot right by Onomichi Station. Grabbed a quick bowl of udon before my next train.

Nice spot for a quiet morning. The siphon coffee is pretty good, and it opens early for breakfast.
