这个市场就在我们住的旅馆边上，自然是要去逛逛的。这里多是卖蔬菜水果、农副产品和各种以色列甜点的，中东的香料很有名，这里香料的品种很丰富，很多都叫不出名字来。这里也有不少小餐馆，卖当地美食。我们选了一样来吃，硕大的茄子里蒸上豆腐，再配上中东的肉丸，好吃死了。还吃了著名的鹰嘴豆泥，不过，我不太能吃的来。这个市场主要还是当地人采买的市场，所以东西不算贵，特别是周五下午，各种面包甜点都打折，好多当地人都来买，一买就是一大堆，因为从周五太阳落下开始，犹太人的安息日就开始了，安息日里不能生火的。离开耶路撒冷时，朋友在市场里买了好些能存放的食品带回家给小朋友吃，据说，大家吃得很开心。只是太甜，我吃不来。

位于耶路撒冷新区，随处可以看见组团而来的外国游客，俨然是景点的样子。市场内蔬菜、水果、香料、海鲜、涂鸦，各种鲜艳好看。摊主们也很热情友好，并不介意我们四处拍照，还在发现我拿的是华为手机后，马上也举起自己的华为手机，翘起大拇指，用生硬的普通话说“华为，好！”。去到一个陌生城市，逛一逛市场、品一品美食、听一句老外对国产品牌的赞美，感觉还真是不错。

马哈尼·耶胡达市场Mahane Yehuda Market是整个耶路撒冷最大的菜市场，也是一个独一无二的市场。耶胡达市场是中东生活的缩影，这个地方不能用旅游的眼光看，因为它就是一个菜市场，不是什么景点，但在这里可以体验中东的生活，虽然很拥挤也很脏乱。
