The Hotel was too big and very noisey for an OLD couple,and we stayed only for 1 night, will NOT RETURN but for younger people and families, it was very good

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. Excellent stay, excellent dinner, excellent spa experience and breakfast buffet that is second to none! The Mecure really do know how to provide a great customer experience and every single staff member is courteous, polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms are enormous and if you are lucky enough to get a courtyard one, your eyes are in for a treat. Sue and Lucy in the spa are marvellous and even the chambermaid staff, especially Deborah worked with a smile and was helpful with directions. If you stay in a courtyard room you will understand why directions are needed. 😀. All in all I had an absolutely fantastic Mother’s Day stay!

The lakeside cabins offer stunning views, and there are plenty of activities, making it perfect for a family vacation. The resort has a convenience store, and the restaurant food quality is high. Even without a car, you can still enjoy a great holiday within the resort grounds.

It’s a decent place to stay, I had an event to attend at the hotel so I just booked a room there to save transport costs. It’s alright for a short trip.

We had a wonderful 4 nights at Thurnham Hall. The person who checked us in on the Sunday was very pleasant and welcoming. We walked the grounds and they were lovely and very well looked after.The Spa and pool were excellent. Thank you for providing such a lovely hotel for us to stay at and spend time visiting with our Lancashire relatives.

It's really nice and cool hotel, a strategic place close to the city center and the mall, close to the food sellers. The staff are friendly and meticulous, the hotel is clean. Really clean. It's cool that there are rolls, my son and I like it. The pillows and rolls look new, soft and thick. All room facilities from the air conditioner are really cold, the bathroom faucet is good to turn on. Food is also delicious. Best, recommended. Next time I will definitely staycation here again, see you next time

Everything is good except the bed sheet, it kept slipping off after sleeping in.  It's a flat sheet too small to tie down on the edge and corners.  We asked the staff for help and we tried to do it ourselves but it was not fixable because the flat sheet is just too small to secure the bed coverage.  The staff members are super friendly and they do try their best to help you.  The spa in the hotel is also great.  Overall the experience is beyond expectations.  The location is also great and safe.  

Lovely clean hotel. Very comfy beds. Breakfast was good. Reception staff were pleasant. Driver was the friendliest. Was a good stay but I wouldn’t say it wowed me and felt staff could’ve been more attentive. Also lack of room service, evening snacks, fridge, tv channels, alternative pillows etc. also hotel said they didn’t receive my special requests I’ve added to the trip booking which meant the birthday we were celebrating was overlooked.

This is our third time staying at this hotel, and it feels like home. The hotel has a beautiful environment, and the lobby is not big, but it is very much like the living room of a country villa, very warm! In addition to the buffet breakfast, there is also a cooked-to-order breakfast, which is very exquisite and of high quality!
