Show More ReviewsWe drove ourselves, and once we arrived at the visitor center, our own cars weren't allowed into the village, probably because there wasn't enough parking. Buying tickets and taking the shuttle bus to the village was very convenient, as the village roads cause significant tire wear. I think the ticket price of around 30 yuan wasn't expensive, but there was a long queue. The first queue wasn't long, and I thought we could go directly to the lake, but the bus turned back to the visitor center after reaching the village square, requiring another long queue for the second shuttle bus. Visitors who didn't want to wait could walk along the stone path and the main road to the second shuttle bus stop halfway up the hill, where there was still an extremely long queue. Because it was a holiday, there were many elderly people and children in the queue, and we waited for half a day without seeing a single bus. Having to queue three times for a 3-kilometer tourist route significantly impacts the tourist experience, and the investors need to improve this. The scenery of Yuhu Village and the surrounding snow-capped mountains and meadows is breathtaking, a sight you must see at least once in your life. Horse riding is straightforward and honest, with fixed prices. The village comprises five sub-villages, and besides selling seasonal fruits, boiled corn and potatoes, leading horses is their only source of income. The guesthouses are likely not owned by locals; most villagers lack the resources for renovations or management, so their homes are rented out to outside investors. Expensive guesthouses, like the Stone House, cost over 2,000 yuan a night on Ctrip, but the scenery is absolutely stunning. Guesthouses in ordinary villages are around 300 yuan. Choose according to your own preferences. The local people are kind and hospitable; everyone I met was good. The scenery is breathtaking. You'll regret it if you don't visit! For tourists from other provinces who have unpleasant experiences in Yunnan, ask yourself if you were cheated by trying to get something for nothing. Also, ask if the place that ripped you off was run by someone from your hometown; don't wrongly accuse the locals.
