Show More ReviewsOn the date of my visit, 28th October, we were lucky as the skies were clear, giving way to the vibrant blue skies! But do beware of the high UV given the high altitude.I wouldn't want to ruin how beautiful Huanglong scenic area is, hence I'm here to provide some tips and tricks to navigate in the park. Cable car tickets are purchased separately, and the electric mini bus is only purchasable via Wechat App as of Oct 2026.Once uphill, please slow down as the altitude is 3000m ++. Get your oxygen tank once you've reached the top. There's a markup at the base shops so be wary. Upon exploring Wucai (Five-Colour) Pond, it takes about 2-3 hours to finish the descend to the base tourist centre. The views are magnificent both-ways, so do turn to look back to catch a glimpse of Xuebaoding (Snow Treasure Peak).The washrooms in Huanglong park are plentiful and clean, so no worries! Remember to hydrate and rest!
