Room on 2nd floor near the lift so i can hear people walking by. Amenities like toothbrush can be taken from the reception. Room without window so it can smell abit stale when 1st coming in.

This is my 3rd stay, and I am disappointed. No wonder Trip score has dropped from 9.x to now 8.x. The positives are its proximity to cafés and the Masjid Jamek LRT station, as well as its price. A self-service laundry with detergent is available at RM10.60 per load for either washing or drying. Universal power point is also available and wifi was stable throughout my stay. These are not new to me but I thought worth mentioning. The staff are also accommodating in assigning me the same room I stayed in previously. Now, to areas for improvement. There was a trail of ants on the floor leading to the bathroom; some were even found on the bed and basin. The floor was sticky and disgusting. Given this condition, if there are no immediate plans to improve housekeeping standards, disposable room slippers should be provided by default rather than upon request at the reception. Note: I did not bother asking for another room as I had unpacked my belonging. Maintenance-wise, the door lock was loose and felt unsafe. The replacement toilet seat was smaller than the toilet bowl and did not fit properly. The aircon was leaking (fortunately, this happened on my last night). Worst of all, the entire corridor walkway smelled moldy and humid, and carpet full of stains. I literally had to hold my breath to get to my room. I genuinely wonder whether the deputy champion has walked the floors recently? With these conditions, I genuinely wonder if the drinking water filter is replaced periodically? To add on, there used to be a nice café serving good coffee and breakfast, but it is now gone. I only found out upon check-in, which was another disappointment. I learnt that the in-house breakfast is merely pre-packed/microwaved food - luckily I didn't opt for breakfast. My stay in KL is actually 6 nights, but I booked 4n at lyf and 2n at another hotel in a similar price range nearby, and I’m glad I made that decision. I sincerely hope the deputy champion will take this feedback seriously, rather than brushing it aside with a copied-and-pasted polite or diplomatic response from ChatGPT :)

Pleasant experience overall! Laid back and chill vibes at lyf. Consistent hot water in the shower, very clean room (although the floor felt a little bit tacky from the humid/condensation from the aircon). Would def stay here again for its excellent location (proximity to Chinatown and the lesser known Muzium Telekom!)

The single room is considered spacious for one person. It’s very clean, modern, and well soundproofed despite being on a busy road. It comes with a hair dryer, and the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable.

Excellent experience! The room was tastefully decorated and had everything I needed, and housekeeping came everyday to tidy up the room. Very good location in the heart of Chinatown, a Grab ride to Pavilion cost about 6 ringgit. Staff were nice and professional. Toothbrushes/toothpaste and bedroom slippers can be requested for free at check in. Very comfortable slay and highly recommended!
