Youyuan

The onsen ryokan (hot spring inn) is located within a hot spring resort area, surrounded by numerous onsen baths for non-overnight use. We stayed in a Type A2 room; the bed was comfortable, the indoor open-air onsen was a good size, the water had a strong smoky flavor, and our skin felt smooth after soaking. Dinner was plentiful and delicious. Because it's located within the resort area, there are many shops, and Lawson is just a 5-minute walk away, making it convenient to buy supplies. The ryokan has a great location, close to Kagoshima Airport and near many attractions, making it an excellent choice for an overnight stay while exploring Kagoshima.

Before making a reservation, I hesitated because of the lack of information, but after checking in, I was sure that it was the best choice. I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Advantage 1. Private hot spring I was happy because I could soak in the bathtub at any time. I stayed at a private hot spring ryokan in Yufuin, but that place had a structure where you couldn't see outside. You can see the river from the bathroom at Yuyuan. Plus, you can see Sakurajima! Advantage 2. Cleanliness Even if you walk barefoot, your soles are clean. There is no dust anywhere in the room. Even the outside of the window is clean. Advantage 3. Spacious room When I travel, I always choose a room that is at least 25 square meters. It's uncomfortable if it's small. The room I stayed in was 50 square meters. It was spacious for two people. Advantage 4. Meals I had seasonal dinners twice and breakfasts twice, and I ate at the restaurant on the second floor. It was very comfortable because it was a private room. The taste was also excellent. I was even more satisfied because the dishes were made with Kagoshima specialties. Advantage 5. Friendly staff I felt warm staying at a hotel with friendly staff. They were people I want to meet again! The only downside. I took the bus. It was a small bus, not a bus that puts your luggage in the luggage compartment, so I was confused. Of course, this is not a problem for those who take a taxi or rent a car. It is not a good location for those who want to be in a busy area. If you like to take a walk while enjoying the quiet and beautiful scenery, it would be an excellent choice. It was a happy time for me. I walked to Kagoshima Shrine. I gave carrots to a beautiful horse and prayed. Yuyu-an is the perfect place for healing^^

I had the best sleep in this hot spring hotel during the whole trip. The waiter was very kind and explained it to you. There is Lawson about 8 minutes away so you don’t need to drive.

Everything was great except for the food. The food smelled a bit like fried oil, which gave me heartburn. The other dishes were also average. I stayed in a private detached room, which had an open-air bath and was clean, spacious, and great. I'm glad I stayed here. You can order delivery, so next time I'd like to order delivery instead of a meal.

Außerordentliche liebevoller und zuvorkommender Empfang. Außergewöhnliche Hilfe bei der Organisation des Taxis für den sehr frühen Morgen. Sehr schöne und gut ausgestattete Unterkunft in separaten Hütten. Private, sehr schöne Onzen, die nicht einsehbar sind. Da wir nicht in der Unterkunft übernachtet haben, können wir die Qualität des Essens nicht beurteilen. In ca 7 km Entfernung vom Flughafen Kagoshima gelegen. Daher alles in allem eine perfekte Unterkunft in Flughafennähe.

There is a large public bath and a family bath. Payment is made at the reception desk. It costs 700 yen on weekdays, but the price seems to go up on weekends. The facilities are clean. There are hot and cold baths indoors, and an open-air bath outside. It is well maintained.
