Zhonghua Gate Highlights: Must-See Features and Attractions
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
Zhonghua Gate is a large castle-style gate among other inner city gates in Nanjing that were made during the Ming Dynasty. It is also one of the largest city castles in China. The ancient Chinese military defense facilities such as the Zhonghua Gate's systems of “waiting for a sure catch” and the 27 soldiers' caves have special appeals to military aficionados. When you board the city gate, you can experience these ancient military defense facilities and overlook the city of Nanjing.

Other visitors' reviews of Zhonghua Gate
Show More ReviewsThe Zhonghua Gate barbican initially seemed unremarkable, but after the explanation, it became quite impressive. It features the treasure basin of Shen Wansan, hidden troop tunnels, and a panoramic view from the top of the tower, offering views of the four city gates, the Qinhuai River, and the newly constructed city of Nanjing. Definitely worth a visit.
