Dormy Inn Nagano Natural Hot Spring

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was excellent—just a stone's throw from Nagano Station, making it very convenient for getting around. There were plenty of restaurants nearby serving delicious food, along with unique local shops and shopping malls featuring popular Japanese stores such as Tokyo Hands, Daiso and Muji. One of the highlights was that Zenkoji Temple was within walking distance, taking about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace. The service was excellent and the hotel provided a wide range of complimentary amenities for guests to use, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for its great location, excellent service and easy access to dining, shopping and local attractions.

Location of hotel is great! It’s very near the station and there are many shops and eateries around. They serve apple juice at the lobby. I hesitated to book because it was more expensive than other the average cost of other Dormy Inns / Onyado(s) I had stayed at. It was also more expensive than multiple other hotels within the vicinity. When we stayed there, it appeared like off peak season with not many patrons but breakfast was packed with people. Staff ushering patrons to tables was most courteous and although she could not speak English, she tried her best to understand our request (for 5 pple to sit together) and did her best to make the arrangements for us. Quality of food here is much better than Onyado Nono Matsumoto. Beef was cooked well. This season, their welcome dessert is a slice of Banana cake which was yummy. Room/amenities are abit dated and if I remember correctly…. The TV in the room doesn’t have Netflix nor YouTube but I could be wrong. If the prices can remain reasonable, I’ll stay there when I revisit Nagano.

My second time staying at Dormy Inn.I love the cleanliness and attention to detail. The natural onsen and massage chair are big pluses.The only downsides are the communication with front desk and the room is bit small if you have few luggages. Yet also the supper noodles at this branch weren't as tasty as expected?

Location is not far off Nagano station. Impressive onsen facilities but rooms are a little dated and bed sheets are not very comfortable.

The hotel is located close to Nagano Station, only a 5-minute walk away. The room is not very large, but not too small either. The onsen is a bit small and can get crowded. I loved the staff’s service—they were very kind—and I especially enjoyed the ice cream provided during onsen hours and free soba at night. Breakfast was very good. I liked the beef suki soup and the Nagano pork.
