Brindos, Lac & Château - Relais & Châteaux - Anglet Biarritz

The hotel is beautiful, but the lack of cleanliness, both in the rooms and the common areas, really shocked me. The room's terrace was full of cobwebs and dirty, and in the 3 nights we stayed there, they never dusted. I've attached photos of the bedside tables, which even had stains (not just dust) until I went down to reception to complain. The restaurant windows haven't been cleaned in a long time either… I've never seen anything like this in a hotel, especially not one of this caliber. To top it all off, when I checked out, they had included a €301 restaurant charge from another room. If I hadn't carefully checked the bill, they would have charged us for it.

With the good weather, this was a perfect resort hotel, except for a slightly dated feel, but it had that classic old-money vibe. The lake view was photogenic, but you couldn't look at it closely; the water seemed a bit eutrophic. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to Biarritz train station and airport, but we didn't know that and foolishly took the bus and taxi instead. We didn't experience breakfast or the overwater bungalows; personally, I think staying in a superior room was excellent enough.

It's a pleasant hotel, but there's nothing particularly impressive about it. The spa area is very small, with three "jacuzzis" where the water bubbles up from below, essentially a sham. The sauna is just a name—it's the size of a suitcase, and there's no heating whatsoever. The breakfasts are completely ordinary and, in my opinion, don't live up to the price tag. We spent two days in the presidential suite at this hotel, but there's no reason to return. For a first time, it was fine, but nothing more.

Superbe séjour au château de brindos. La chambre était très belle et confortable, la décoration est vraiment soignée. Nous avons pu profiter du spa qui est inclu dans la réservation de la chambre et le lieu est magnifique. Petit bémol pour la température dans le spa, on avait un peu froid. Pour conclure, nous reviendrons sans hésiter
