Haven't found the right hotel yet?
Paid over RM3,500 for 2 nights for a sea-view one-bedroom room with an extra bed. Unfortunately, the bed was visibly sunken in the middle, yet it was still set up without being checked beforehand. Check-in was also slow despite arriving quite late.
On Friday night, the beach bar was unavailable at 10pm even though it stated that it was open until midnight. Parking was another issue, with numerous cones blocking available spaces. When I asked reception and security to remove them, I was initially told they were for emergency access, despite ample space available at the front.
A simple late check-out request was also declined. With limited facilities, poor service, a remote location and several inconveniences, the overall experience simply does not justify the RM3,500+ price tag. Expected much better for what was paid.
Noise: The hotel rooms are all next to the環山(Huanshan) highway, so it's very noisy.
Surroundings: It's next to Cat Beach, which is lovely, and it's very convenient to get to the Butterfly Garden and Spice Garden. However, the shuttle bus to the city and Dingyi Beach only has 15 spots per day.
