Haven't found the right hotel yet?
We had a very pleasant stay at Afamosa Park Royal. The two‑queen bedroom was superb—spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Hotel facilities were excellent; our kids loved the Kid’s Club room, and the pool looked inviting even though we didn’t get to use it. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. The fire show on Saturday night was a highlight and made our stay memorable.
However, we faced frustration with housekeeping. I pressed the room cleaning button around 11 a.m. before going out, but when we returned at 3 p.m. the room was still not cleaned. After calling reception, they said they would remind the team, but no action was taken. I called again 30 minutes later and was told the staff were busy preparing rooms for new check‑ins, and that it would take another 20 minutes for the housekeeping team to come and clean. By then, we were exhausted after visiting Afamosa Safari Wonderland, and our children needed to sleep. Since we had already waited nearly an hour, I asked them to come at 5:30 p.m. after we had rested. It was disappointing that cleaning was missed in the morning and required repeated follow‑ups.
Breakfast arrangements also need improvement. On the first day, we were redirected from the café to the ballroom due to crowding, but still had to queue for a long time. On the second day, we faced a similar situation—asked to go to the ballroom despite no queue at the café. Only after insisting were we seated in the café within minutes. The same happened to another couple after us. This lack of proper communication was inconvenient, especially for families with young children.
Overall, we loved the stay and enjoyed many aspects, but better housekeeping scheduling and clearer breakfast arrangements would make the experience truly superb.
The rooms I booked was beyond expectation. Didn't expect to have a balcony eventhough it was facing the carpark but it was still good too. Aircon was cold. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Only downfall was the TV wasn't equipped with any apps such as Disney+ , Netlfix , Youtube etc. Screen mirroring function wasn't great. The wifi signal wasnt strong.
Breakfast was great. It changes. Some similar items but mostly different. Varieties were Local Nasi Lemak, International Breakfast, noodles etc.
Swimming pool was great too. Very spacious and there's a Aqua Zumba that my family and I managed to be part of. It was fun and interesting.
I would definitely recommend others to book this resort.
Do take note that it is about 48mins-1hr away from the city. But definitely would be my go to resort if I am back in Melaka.
