When you discover such a great gem, the first thing you want to do is to keep it for yourself but it would be a little egoistic and MD deserves to be discovered by all guests who love aestheticism, exclusivity, authenticity and comfort. We've just ended a very very lovely stay at Monsieur Didot and I have to say there is quite a while we haven't been that happy with all the components making of a place, the one cannot be missed. It's actually not exactly an hotel but a home away from home with service and what a service. Very friendly, perfectly unpretentious, so kind and attentive, We've been impressed by how great has been the team during our whole stay. Always a nice smile and a kind word giving us the feeling to be welcomed by friends. Located in the most exquisite area of Athens un elegant and residential Kolonaki, you'll feel like being Greek for the duration of the stay. It's a perfect area with plenty of trendy cafes and restaurants near by. Building is gorgeous snd enclosed only 6 rooms and suites. We stayed in one of the two excellent suites, The Novel, located on ground floor. It's spacious, elegantly decorated and has got a charming layout with a few steps to go in. We enjoyed spending time in our living room before jumping in our very comfy bed. Bathroom was perfect as well with strong shower which is so appreciated. It's airy, spacious, super clean and the Hugh ceilings gave a dimension even nicer. Truly a stunning accommodation we considered as our home in athens. The only little downsides are a non perfect blackout in the bedroom (maybe an extra curtain would solve this small problem) and a little noise coming from the street. That said we slept very well and that doesn't even affect how much we loved our stay. Every morning, just on time, excellent Greek breakfast was delivered in the room without any extra fee... such a service when you see more and more 5 stars charging this service between 10 and 20€ and breakfast is included which makes of room rate at MD an amazing value for money. There is no need to loose time at looking what is the best place where to stay in Athens. Response is easy to our point of view... it is and will always remain MONSIEUR DIDOT....
