Barco El Nido Hotel

What's the difference between a prison and this hotel? At the hotel, there was a door between the bedroom and the toilet. It was so noisy that the hotel put a 10cm thick foam mat in the window. But that was pointless, as the air conditioner was a single unit with a direct open connection to the street. Among Filipinos, the person with the loudest scooter is not to be overlooked. So... now for the 'breakfast'... You have to say the night before what you want from a very limited selection and also at an exact time. So set your alarm or just wait. Nothing spontaneous happens here. So, if you feel like sleeping in a penal colony by the side of the road, I can highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. Centrally located within walking distance of the city center. Rooms are decent.

The hotel is located on the edge of town, close to the town square and the beach, which was very convenient for joining island hopping tours every day. The room was very simple, with just a bed, bathroom, sink, and a shelf. What I appreciated most was being able to take a hot shower. The complimentary shower gel and hand soap smelled lovely. Although there was no kettle or cups in the room, there was a water dispenser in the common area, and they were happy to lend out cups. There's also a laundry shop diagonally across from the hotel (100 pesos/kg), which was incredibly convenient.

An average hotel. We only used it for sleeping since we were out on excursions in El Nido all day and just came back to the hotel to sleep. Cons: - An ant infestation in the room (photo 1) - Room 208. - Breakfast was terrible; honestly, it would have been better if they hadn't offered it at all and we'd just gone to a cafe. - Mold on the ceiling (photo 2). - Noise from the road and a window covered by a mattress – it felt like it was always nighttime outside in the room (photo 3). - Some strange light in the room that would randomly turn on at night, and we had no idea what to do about it (photo 4). Pros: - Good mattress. - Good location.

Not a bad hotel! The staff were very friendly, and the common areas for relaxing were comfortable, with a dining area and a fridge available. I booked excursions through the hotel, and everything went perfectly. The hotel is located at the end of the street, a bit further away from the bustling center of El Nido, so you don't hear any noise or music. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the pier and the main streets. As for the downsides, I'd note that my room had no window, which made it a bit gloomy.

The hotel is decent. I found a couple of dead cockroaches in the bathroom, though. The room is cute and the value for money is fair. The staff are friendly. But whatever you do, don't rent a scooter from them. It was expensive, and they tried to charge us the full day's rate for only two hours, even though we were guests. It's neither the best nor the worst hotel in the Philippines.
