Maiyue Hotel

The hotel is on a high floor, making it very convenient to get around. The service is also quite warm and friendly. It's right across from Raffles City, and within easy walking distance to Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. The facilities are decent, and overall, the location is highly recommendable.

As a Chongqing local, I can tell you that choosing the right accommodation truly doubles your travel experience here. This McMaiyue High-Rise Hotel is incredibly photogenic; the large floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly frame Raffles City, and you can even see the two rivers converging. During the day, you can witness the unique '鴛鴦鍋' (hot pot style) river confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. Once night falls, the city lights up, creating an absolutely stunning nighttime ambiance. You don't have to battle crowds at tourist spots; you can simply relax in your room and still take in Chongqing's iconic views. The location is also super convenient. It's very close to Hongyadong, so after enjoying the night view, you don't have to fight with other tourists for a taxi – you can just take a leisurely stroll back to your accommodation. It's also easy to get to Jiefangbei for shopping and dining. After a tiring day, returning to your room to quietly admire the night view melts away most of your travel fatigue. For anyone planning a trip to Chongqing, this is definitely worth considering!

Location & Transportation: The hotel is situated in Chaotianmen, with Exit 1 of Metro Line 1 right downstairs. There's also the Chaotianmen bus hub nearby, with all routes originating there, making it an excellent choice if you primarily rely on public transport. If you're taking a taxi, just set your destination to 'Everbright Holdings Chaotianmen Center'. Outside View: The hotel occupies floors 44-49 of the building. We stayed on the 49th floor and had an amazing view of the Yangtze River and Dongshuimen Bridge. The front desk on the 44th floor offers views of the Jialing River, Qiansimen Bridge, and the Cloud Park's giant swing at Raffles City. The breakfast restaurant overlooks the building where the Cloud's Eye Observation Deck is located. Room Amenities: The hotel rooms are spacious and well-equipped. We barely used the TV. There's a tea set on the table, complimentary bottled water, a mini-fridge, and an air purifier. The mini-fridge not only refrigerates but also has a small freezer compartment. For the twin room, both occupants have switches by their side to control lighting and curtains, along with one two-pin, one three-pin, one USB, and one Type-C socket each, catering to various charging needs and allowing multiple devices to charge simultaneously. The bathroom features a dry/wet separation, ensuring privacy for showering and using the toilet. The toilet seat opens and closes automatically, and the toilet flushes automatically, so you don't need to touch it at all. The shower offers three modes, and the hot water pressure is strong and hot enough, with adjustable temperature and a digital display. Hotel Facilities: The hotel front desk has two delivery robots that can bring takeout to your room door, which is very convenient. There's also a laundry room with both washing machines and dryers, perfect for washing sweaty clothes in the summer. The building has four elevators, and there are six elevators from the front desk to the guest floors, so waiting times are minimal. You need your room card to use the elevators, ensuring privacy. Hotel Dining: The breakfast offers a wide variety of food, blending Chinese and Western options. There are fried eggs, boiled eggs, tea eggs, milk, soy milk, coffee, orange juice, bread, croissants, egg tarts, Swiss rolls, butter, and jam. You'll also find stir-fries, salads, yogurt, fruit, fried sausages, luncheon meat, and salami. You can even ask the chef to prepare noodles or sour and spicy rice noodles. There's also a mini-bar diagonally opposite the front desk, though I'm not entirely sure what drinks they offer. If you have any packed food, the hotel can even help you reheat it. Staff Service: Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping ladies provided excellent service. They always greeted us with a smile, and any requests we had were met immediately. Even when we called the front desk in the middle of the night, they were always accommodating. Their service attitude was truly exceptional. After check-in, you can also scan a QR code to add a 'little butler' on WeChat, who can help you book tours. Overall, my stay was fantastic and offered incredible value for money! I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Chongqing.

The views are unbeatable, and the location is super convenient with Raffles City right across the street. If it's too hot to be outside, you can easily spend time there. Everything else was pretty standard, but overall, I was satisfied.

I was very satisfied with my room upon check-in. The hotel was clean, and its location was excellent for getting around. It's right opposite Raffles City and very close to Xia Hao Li, Hongyadong, and Jiefangbei. I highly recommend it. The staff provided exceptional service.

The hotel is in a great location, right across the street from Raffles City. We received a complimentary room upgrade with a lovely view of the two rivers at night, and the room was quite spacious. They even gave us some local specialties when we checked out.

Traveling with family by cruise from Yichang to Chongqing, the hotel's location was incredibly convenient. Downstairs, there's a popular food street and a subway entrance, and it's very close to Raffles City and Chaotianmen Square. The room was spacious, new, and very comfortable, with unbeatable river views. However, Chongqing was so hot that we only dared to go out after 7 PM. Both nights, we basically returned to the room around 10:30 PM, which was a shame because we couldn't enjoy Chongqing's nightscape for longer, nor did we get to see the Saturday drone show. I hope to visit Chongqing again next time to experience its 'cyberpunk' night views.

During the day, you could overlook the cityscape of the mountain city, and at night, the lights of the two rivers created a dazzling nightscape. You could enjoy Chongqing's night view right from your bed, creating an amazing ambiance. The room itself was tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is also a big advantage, making it convenient to get to various attractions. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend this high-rise hotel for anyone visiting Chongqing. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.
