Xinsu Changrong Tulou Cultural Homestay (Yunshui Ballad Shop)

The owner was incredibly welcoming. As soon as we arrived, they gave us a great introduction to the local 'tulou' (earthen buildings) and suggested a sightseeing route. We were greeted with complimentary fruit, and when we left, they even gave us some local specialties as a farewell gift. They also offered free traditional ethnic clothing for us to try on, which was a nice touch. The tulou itself is 100 years old, but the interior facilities are surprisingly modern – even more so than the star-rated hotel we stayed at on this trip. The doors, curtains, and lights are all electric, and you can even control the lights with a smart assistant. The location is excellent, not far from Huaiyuan Tower and Yunshuiyao, so you can easily walk there if the weather isn't too hot.

The female owner was incredibly helpful and accommodating, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The room was very clean. She even went out of her way to buy fireworks for us when we wanted to set them off. When my child wanted to play with the rabbits, she brought over some feed. We accidentally left our photos at another restaurant, and she went back to retrieve them for us. The service was absolutely excellent! The only downside during summer was the frog croaking at night, which made it hard to sleep, but everything else was perfect. The Tulou (earthen building) itself retains its original architecture and is very well preserved.

The environment is great, and the guesthouse is clean. The owner is very welcoming and even helped us with our luggage. Anything we needed was taken care of immediately. I highly recommend this guesthouse!

The rooms are spacious and stylish. Breakfast is a bit too simple, but the small restaurant is nice, though a bit pricey. The young lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and helpful, and the young man was good too!

The environment is beautiful, the service is warm, and the ancient charm is very unique. Yet, the room facilities are modern and advanced, and everything is clean. The location is excellent, very close to Huaiyuan Tower, and it's also quiet. All in all, it's just wonderful!

This stay was fantastic! The staff were super warm and attentive, the room was spotless and well-equipped, making for a really comfortable stay. This guesthouse was definitely the best part of our Yunshuiyao Scenic Area experience. You can order meals there, they offer free ethnic costumes for photos, and we even got to pick jaboticaba and mulberries for free.

This Hakka earthen building guesthouse is steeped in history, right from the moment you step inside! Every step on the stairs, every glance, feels like a conversation with the past. It's hard to put into words; you truly need to stay here to get a true sense of it – these earthen buildings are far from 'primitive'! The room itself could be considered a suite. The bedroom has a charming little window with a view, adding a lovely touch. The bathroom is spacious, and the shower stall is enormous! The tea room is also quite large, with a professional tea set-up. The owner's family originally made tea, and they have many award certificates displayed at the front desk! The tea provided is genuinely excellent! The entire earthen building is very well-maintained, and you can smell the unique scent of old wood in the rooms. The only minor downside is the poor soundproofing, but that's just the nature of these traditional earthen buildings! In the evenings and mornings, you can take a stroll to the heart of Yunshuiyao, which is truly beautiful and captivating. If you're visiting the Yunshuiyao scenic area, I highly recommend staying overnight – you'll be pleasantly surprised!

They have a great selection of travel photography outfits, and the room was clean with a really big bed. It's located within the Yunshuiyao scenic area, very close to the Tulou and the big waterwheel, both within walking distance. It was very clean and beautiful, my family loved it and were very satisfied.

The hotel's location is close to Huaiyuan Tower, and it's a renovated old Tulou. The guesthouse facilities are very complete and excellent. We arrived on March 13th, and the temperature was quite low, but the room had air conditioning and an electric blanket, which was very comfortable. It was a great experience.
