Located by the sea, but if you want to eat out, it's about two kilometers away. Not very convenient if you don't have a car. The hotel's policy states check-in is at 3 PM, but we weren't allowed into our room until 4:30 PM. To make matters worse, the key card didn't work and wasn't fixed until past 8 PM. We reported it to the front desk multiple times, but nothing was done. The staff's attitude was poor, and we didn't feel any sense of service. It might even be a case of discrimination. Overall, a really bad experience.

The room was large and new, but it was assigned to the second floor, right next to the linen room. The swimming pool was directly downstairs, and there was constant laughter from morning till night. The sea view was also obstructed. Parking was $30 a day.

The Outrigger Kona resort was very nice. The pool was nice and the slide was an added bonus. The restaurant was pretty nice as well and the activities they offer at the resort were also pretty nice. The luau was very fun and entertaining and I highly recommend to do it. I'd only say the location in Kona is not ideal but if you rent a car then it won't matter really. Most everything is about 30 minutes away and the north and south points are even farther. Expect to have to drive or Uber to most of the islands best places to visit and experience. Definitely enjoyed the Outrigger resort though.

Oberall speaking,the stay is good and the kid enjoy the view and swimming pool much. Hotel location is amazing,convenient to anywhere in Kona. It is near the manta ray spot area.cleanness is also good but we do find some bugs in the room.

The breakfast was expensive and terrible. For $37, the only decent thing was the made-to-order omelets. There were only three types of fruit, a few kinds of bread, and one type of boxed yogurt. Why is such a simple breakfast so overpriced?
