Located in the north district of Xining, this is the north hall of the Qinghai Tibetan Culture Museum, a national first-class museum, and also a thematic exhibition hall dedicated to Tibetan medicine. The architecture draws inspiration from the mandala of the Medicine Buddha, creating a profound atmosphere. The hall features exhibition spaces such as Tibetan medical history, Thangka medical instruments, ancient literature, and astronomy and calendar calculation, systematically showcasing the thousand-year development of Tibetan medicine. It houses a vast collection of precious ancient Tibetan medical texts, including 80 medical Thangka paintings illustrating the classic "Four Medical Tantras," meticulously presenting knowledge of human pathology and embryonic development. Additionally, it displays hundreds of ancient surgical medical instruments, comprehensively demonstrating Tibetan diagnostic, therapeutic, and pharmaceutical techniques. As an important base for intangible cultural heritage display, the north hall is open to the public free of charge, making it ideal for humanities enthusiasts to deeply explore the traditional medicine of the snowy region and experience the unique life wisdom and diverse ethnic cultural heritage of the plateau.
