The room was clean and well maintained, which made my stay comfortable. The facilities were OK and met my basic needs. The bed was comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful, and check-in was smooth.

It truly felt like it was *just* for sleeping. Being a dormitory, the snoring was unbelievably loud, and with people coughing too, I couldn't get any sleep. Since it was summer, closing the curtain made it incredibly hot and stuffy. Even though there was a fan, it wasn't near my sleeping spot, making it far too hot. I was drenched in sweat. The shared bath and toilet facilities, combined with the price, made it quite a struggle. While I'd recommend it for budget travelers, I woke up feeling just as tired as the night before.

I really enjoyed this hotel. This was my first time in a capsule hotel, and it is better than the common western hostels. More privacy, better luxury. I enjoyed the bathroom and the amenities (slippers, bathrobe). My favourite thing about this hotel was its 70-80s style. There were still old telephones, old capsules and elevators from 40 years ago throughout the building. I really appreciated that, since I am especially interested in Japanese history during that period (the boom). Last but not least, I also noticed then good connection to the city center (about 1 hour by metro to the castle) and its proximity to the Tokyo Skytree (only a few stations).

I booked a capsule room before arriving in Japan, but it wasn’t clear to me that it was male-only. At check-in, the staff insisted it was stated online (I couldn’t find it even after checking three times) and said the only available option was a twin bed room, which I had to book instead. The staff mentioned she would cancel the capsule booking but didn’t inform me about the refund timeline. She was also quite indifferent and inattentive during check-in. On top of that, the twin room had a broken light—I can provide a photo if needed. Please advise on the refund and whether anything can be done about this experience.

There are so many rules to follow. You MUST leave the hotel everyday from 10am till 3pm so you only get to stay there for 75% of the day, even if you booked multiple days. so if you want to relax in your hotel this isn’t it.  The locker provided is tiny so you must keep your bags at the front desk.  The ventilation doesn’t work in the capsules and by the morning you feel like you’re asphyxiating.  I was bitten several times during the night but what I can only assume were bed bugs.  This is probably fine for people used to staying in capsules but if it’s your first time maybe reconsider a better option.  The receptionists are friendly.  If you find it hard to sleep with 10 people snoring around you and tvs blaring full volume all night then don’t stay here.  I had noise canceling earplugs and I could still hear the TVs all night.  You can only use the Onsen after 7pm  I had to leave one night early and was still charged for the night.  I’m not writing this review to offend the hotel, I’m trying to warn other travellers what to expect so you don’t book/cancel and get no refund.
