Even though it's an older hotel, the room decor is very bright and modern. Aside from the bathroom, which shows its age and isn't very comfortable, the rest of the room feels like a new hotel. The sea view is beautiful and breakfast is good. The service was a bit subpar. My IHG member welcome amenity was only delivered to my room a day after check-in. Also, when I tried to check in before 3 PM, the front desk wanted to charge me extra for an early check-in, even if it meant an upgrade. I haven't encountered this situation before at hotels of this caliber in Japan.

A very satisfying hotel overall. While the transportation isn't the most convenient, they offer a shuttle bus to the JR station three times an hour, which we used daily and found quite convenient. For the return trip, it's a short walk or you can take the U-line. We were upgraded to a room on the 22nd floor with a beautiful view. The room isn't old at all, and personally, I think it's better than the Hilton.
