This is a 4-star hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, and they offer a free shuttle bus to and from the station. The shuttle picks up on the left side when you exit the *Karasuma Central Exit* (条口) of Kyoto Station. There isn't much to explore around the hotel itself, and very few restaurants. If you plan on taking the train or eating out, it's best to head to Kyoto Station. Kyoto Station is large and beautiful, a tourist attraction in itself, and even has a big Isetan department store! The breakfast restaurant on the 14th floor is a revolving restaurant with panoramic views of Kyoto. However, the Western set breakfast is quite mediocre. The breakfast restaurant on the first floor offers both Japanese and Western options, but the value for money isn't great. In terms of transportation, besides taking the train from Kyoto Station, you can also catch a bus nearby. It's a bit far from the livelier areas of Sanjo and Shijo, making it suitable for guests who prefer a quiet stay and want to be close to Kyoto Station.

This is the second part of my Kyoto stay at the same hotel. Everything that was in my last review applies to this stay. It was still incredibly comfortable and relaxing. The amenities and hospitality was great. The shuttle to Kyoto station was very convenient. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Kyoto.

This was on of our favorite hotel in Japan. The room was comfortable and facilities lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. close to the station and local restaurants. Breakfast at the top was brilliant - stunning views and revolving floor -we loved it!

The facilities are quite old, and the water pressure is very low – photos 2 and 3 show the faucet at full blast. The cleanliness was generally poor; the shower head holder wasn't even wiped clean, which was disgusting. However, I have to admit, the location is excellent, no complaints there.

There are two breakfast options in which you can choose to eat at a diversified buffet or a set menu in an observation deck on the 14th floor. The hotel itself is a bit old but renovated inside. Overall, it's very luxurious for the price but the bedding were not too comfortable. Free shuttle departs every 20 minutes between Kyoto station and the hotel. Super convenient for shopping at the station or transferring large luggages. Water and ice filler locations are available on each floor. The gym cost extra to use. Luggage delivery is possible within the hotel as well (cash only).

The hotel meets all the standards of a star-rated hotel, but it's very discreet. We had a hard time finding it at night, even with navigation, because the dim hotel sign was hidden behind some bamboo.

Overall, this hotel is pretty good. My only minor complaint is that I wasn't informed about the two breakfast areas upon check-in. I later found out and planned to try the 14th-floor breakfast the next day, only to discover the air conditioning was broken and it was temporarily closed for repairs. It remained closed for two days, which was quite inconvenient.
