    Is very close to Kyoto station, so transport is very convenient. A nice touch to the free public onsen too. Room is quite spacious for just the two of us. Would definitely booked again if I am in Kyoto.

    Great new hotel with clean and well designed rooms except in one aspect. The room has a faux ancient japanese window between the sleeping area and the bathroom. As th e carpark had flood lights on at night and there is frosted glass in the bathroom, the faux window has a constant glow through the night. Some guests may need eye masks to sleep well

    This was a comfortable stay which I got at a good price. Near to Kyoto station, can walk to shopping district if you’re the walking kind of traveller. Breakfast spread and good, used the hot bath on 10th floor too.

    Booked for my elderly parents. They liked the hotel very much. Staff were professional and helpful. Staff had adequate English language skills. Room is more spacious than the typical Kyoto hotel room. Bathroom was well designed. All toiletries provided. Robe was provided as lounge wear to visit the onsen and some people also wore it to the breakfast venue. Note that guests are dissuaded from wearing slippers to the breakfast venue. Onsen was simple but decent. Breakfast quality and spread were decent. Laundry and dryer machines were free of charge. Even laundry detergent was provided. Good location near major sights and amenities. Near train station and convenient store just in front of hotel. Lots of food options around. Hotel environment and room was clean. Staff allowed my parents to leave their luggages at the hotel after checkout. Will stay again if visiting Kyoto.

    We enjoyed our stay at Ala Hotel! The rooms were big, clean and very new. The amenities provided were generous and the breakfast selection was great too. Overall a very pleasant stay. Will stay again if we come back to Kyoto for a visit.
