Very beautiful hotel with nice view and a very quaint private garden. Only flaw is the garden is pretty far away from the stay, otherwise all was perfect! There is also no air conditioning, but they do provide a small portable a/c unit. I believe usually it would not be a problem, but unlucky we went during the heat wave. Thanks for a good stay! And thanks Praveen for thr good service.

We had no issues with the property itself. It is a historic house in beautiful Hallstatt. We already knew about the staircases and need to bring luggages up those staircases. What we were surprised about was the extremely low level of service for such a beautiful property. Apparently the manager was on leave and left two inexperienced girls in charge. Understandably Hallstatt limits vehicular traffic and our car could only stop at a designated spot about 15 min spot from the property. Our driver had called ahead to tell the property we were arriving and asked if shuttle could be arranged. The answer was the only option was to walk. Imagine lugging luggages through the snow. On arriving at the property, we told the girl receiving us to arrange a taxi at checkout to bring us to the dropoff point to meet our driver the next day. She promised to do so. Half an journey before the appointed time she told us no taxis were available and the only option was to walk. You can imagine our frustration with this level of service. A wonderful property let down by extremely poor service.

It was a long walk and a steep flight of stairs, making it extremely inconvenient to carry luggage. Breakfast cost an extra 25 euros per person. At checkout, the staff saw us carrying two large suitcases down the stairs, with two more suitcases at the door that I, a woman, couldn't push alone. He offered no help whatsoever. The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal. There is a slight incline and stairs to reach it, so be careful if you are carrying large luggage.
