Radisson Blu Hotel, Bruges

This is a newly built hotel located near Bruges Central Station. The hotel is clean and hygienic. The room and bathroom are a bit small, but the facilities are relatively new. However, they charge 3 euros per pair for disposable slippers, which is a bit much. It's about a 1.6 km walk to the old town. Overall, it's decent, but the lack of free slippers is a bit disappointing.

This hotel was, hands down, the worst in terms of overall conditions during our trip. There's no elevator, so we had to lug heavy luggage up the stairs. The hallway was narrow, and the carpet had a musty smell; the whole area felt sealed off and stuffy. We checked in a little after 1 PM and were initially given a small room. Upon entering, we discovered there was no air conditioning, and the room was sealed, with no air circulation – it was hard to breathe. I immediately spoke with a tall, blonde male staff member named D at the front desk twice, requesting a room change. However, he firmly refused, saying he'd send someone to fix it. Six hours later, after returning from our outing, the AC still wasn't working. I called the front desk twice more, but nothing was done. After going down to the front desk twice myself, a gentleman finally checked our room and, at 8:30 PM, moved us to a room with AC, though it was even smaller. If your rooms don't have AC, shouldn't you check them before guests arrive? And if there's an oversight, when a guest points it out, you should immediately change the room after checking, not just say you'll fix it. We had to go back and forth six times just to get a functional room! The service was terrible. I will never stay at any Radddion series hotel again.
