Ao Prao Resort

The hotel has a male 'iron flower' show on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. On other nights, you'll need to take a songthaew (shared taxi) to another restaurant. Overall, I have no regrets; it was a great experience. I'll book in advance next time and definitely come again.

This hotel boasts an excellent location on Ao Phrao Beach, with its own private beach. There are only three hotels in this bay, and Ao Phrao Resort shares ownership with Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa. The middle hotel is independent, which means fewer people and a more secluded atmosphere. This area is much quieter compared to Diamond Beach. While Diamond Beach is lively with music, here you'll find more people quietly reading. The rooms are mostly individual bungalows, which is great. They're spacious and cool. You can borrow towels from the front desk for the beach chairs. The hotel restaurant offers stunning sunset views, but you'll need to book a table in advance to get a good spot. It's clean and hygienic, the rooms are cool, there's plenty of hot water, and it's very quiet – though you can't do much about the AC noise. Overall, it's fantastic. The only downside is the average food at the hotel restaurant, but you can't have everything.

This is our second time staying at this hotel for Chinese New Year. This time, our room was on the right hillside, and it felt more spacious and newer than the bungalows on the left. The hotel service was still excellent. We booked a half-day private boat trip (wooden boat) through the hotel, and it was fantastic! The boat was new, and the included meal was delicious. We also booked a private fishing trip through the hotel, which was also a great experience. Catching fish was fun, but my child got seasick quite easily. The hotel dinner, however, felt a bit limited in variety, and the menu didn't change much, while the prices were quite high.

The room was very satisfying, and the breakfast selection was quite rich. Overall, the service was decent, but one day, when my child was trying to nap, the hotel started pruning trees right outside our room. About 4-5 staff members were loudly chatting and laughing by our door. I reported it to the front desk the first time, but it had no effect and continued for almost 10 more minutes. It only stopped after I called again. I suggest that in the future, tree pruning shouldn't be done during guests' nap times.
