North Shire Lodge

A beautiful lodge right outside of Manchester,Vt. The property is stunning and overlooks the mountains. Every cabin is nicely furnished with a patio too. Breakfast is served each morning.delicious. Short drive to many places or shops. Definitely staying again.

Owners Brad and Stacie run this lodge that is reminiscent of a motor inn especially given its outside appearance. The couple work hard to create a relaxed, welcoming, homey environment. Room are themed but all have rustic furnishings and include home cooked breakfasts: You sign up for a time slot the day before. Rooms share an expansive grass backyard with lovely tree covered mountain views. The room has everything you need but the quality of amenities is average. The bedding and towels a bit rough. High season demand drives the prices artificially and undeservedly high.

I’ve stayed at the Northshire Lodge twice in the past 6 months. Both were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️, four night stays. My family has been coming here over 40 years and Brad and Stacie are wonderful innkeepers carrying on the tradition of the former owners. The hot breakfasts each morning are delicious, the spacious rooms, quiet and clean and the views, spectacular!! It’s an easy drive to Manchester Center, Arlington and Bennington along with an easy drive to other Vermont destinations.

This was such a great place to stay within easy drive of Manchester downtown. The breakfast was delicious every morning. New owners have kept the place going in a way that is true to its character and Sarah was a really lovely host who gave great suggestions for places to go and things to do. Brad didn’t talk to us at all. Would stay here again when in the area. Beds could stand to be more comfortable, but the rate was reasonable and breakfast made up for the sore muscles.

Great location with beautiful view of the mountains.Quiet and peaceful. Brad and Stacie very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast daily. Was not disappointed with anything.

We love the North Shire Lodge. The rooms are a nice size and very clean. The best part is the spectacular view from the deck outside our room. Breakfast is served every morning with three different times to eat to fit your schedule. You’re given two choices, and the meals are excellent! The owners are wonderful, helpful and easy to talk to. We know you’ll enjoy it!

My husband and I came to VT for an outdoor - walking - hiking getaway. North Shire is a lovely place set up on a hill with a beautiful mountain view from the room. The owners Brad and Stacy are so nice and helpful.....offering lots on information on the area...where to go to eat and things to do. We loved the daily breakfast choices and the food was delicious. The room was great...very clean, the beds were comfortable and the decor was great. I think most rooms were full when we got there but we never heard any noise....thing were very quiet. The office has sundries like bottled water, other drinks, snacks, walking sticks to borrow. We will absolutely return.

Awesome, just out of town, but close to everything, clean, great breakfast and excellent hosts. highly recommend.

My husband and I {as well as other family members} have stayed at the North Shire Lodge over several years for vacations. In 2023 we met the new Inn Keepers, Stacie and Brad , who have elevated the lodge to a new level. The location is beautiful and they have the rooms in very clean and comfortable condition. Pool area is lovely and back decks at each room provide a relaxing area to sit and view the mountainside. The location is close to many area highlights, and the rates are very reasonable. And you can't get better than the homemade hot breakfasts. Thank you Stacie and Brad, we will be back!
