West Bethel Motel

we booked this property based on proximate to sunday river and price. We were knew wei would not be in town until later Friday night, and leaving by 7am. Fulfilled those expectations and was satisfactory appointed and VERY CLEAN. Would book again.

Value for the price was good. Rooms were clean with updated amenities. Check-in was not staffed and I hadn't received a room or key code to get into my room. Took some time for the owner to respond however the on-site person was very helpful and kind.

The shared kitchen was equipted to cook with a stove, fridge & sink, microwave. Coffee always available. Open all hours for travelers needs - early out for skiing etc. Pet friendly was a huge plus. Microwave & frigde in every room as well.

This motel should not even be on *******. The bathroom had mold, there was a large white spill under one bed (possibly an old milk shake?), and an empty miniature bottle of alcohol under the other. The beds were visibly saggy and the comforters were old and stained. My daughter looked up additional reviews and found complaints of bed bugs. There was no way we were going to stay there. I called the manager but he denied there was anything wrong with the unit and refused even a partial refund. Even though we had two more days of skiing at Sunday River, we left immediately and ended up driving two hours home and back each day for the remainder of our ski trip. I have stayed at hostels and inexpensive inns in many countries including the Philippines and Thailand, but this is the only motel I have ever just left without staying.

I woke up to a swollen left eye and felt my outer palms were itchey. As I drove home, and the hours that followed, I had more bites emerge on my face, hands and one on my back that turned out to be bed bugs according to the Convenient MD physician I saw once I got back to NH. I missed work and got a prescription for Prednisone to bring down the swelling on my left eye.

very clean and warm room, the shower was nice and hot too. Excellent for a last-minute reservation. Super close to Sunday River and Canon mtn. Host were super welcoming as well.

Great place! Right down the road from Sun River. Full kitchen w/air fryer

Staff are responsive to messages and quick to fix any issues that arise. Lounge area is large and the ability to make a cup of coffee before you go was most rewarding on colder days.

There was no hot water in the shower, and since there is no reception I contact the owner via the chat, after the initial respone they didn't replay and didn't try to solve the issue. The so called breakfast is an hostel fridge partly equipt. There are other place to stay at Bethel and I would recoment pick of of them.
