I was extremely dissatisfied with the hotel. Firstly, no one warned me that renovations were underway. Secondly, you have to make a huge fuss to get through to reception. Only after you ask for a refund and plan to move to another hotel will they offer you a quieter room and stop the renovations!!! 😡
I called reception and asked to change rooms because it was very noisy. I'd been on flights for several days and was planning to finally get some sleep. They promised to check with the receptionist and call me back, but no one ever did. The noise from the renovations was so loud, it was like someone was literally drilling and breaking concrete over your head. I went down to reception and asked for a refund so I could go to the Hilton and relax there. The hotel was required to inform guests about the renovations, but they didn't. They were undergoing a full-scale renovation on a certain floor, and no matter where you were moved, the sounds would reach every room!!
Only after I demanded to cancel my reservation and move out of this hotel did they stop the entire renovation process.
