Black Bass Hotel

Fantastic to stay, it’s beautiful, I love to stay there. The room are clean and I like the savon too much.

Superb hotel

Black Bass is not a 5-star hotel as they claim. It is a 4-star property charging ultra-luxury rates. Spending $700 a night means expecting seamless operational infrastructure, yet this hotel lacks 24-hour reception and round-the-clock room service. Great physical location cannot compensate for the restricted service and basic, uninspired room decor. The room interiors further expose the lack of premium standards—the decor feels basic rather than luxury, and the carpet is visibly run-down. A clear case of sub-par value for the money.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, but wish we would have stayed longer! When arriving, we were warmly welcomed by Julian, who gave us a small tour and history of the hotel before showing us to our room. The view of the lake and access to the walking/bike trail were wonderful. We liked that parking was included, since we had driven from Lyon. To get into Annecy, we took a bus that dropped off directly across from access into the old town, but there was also underground car parking for a reasonable rate. If you stay at this hotel, we highly recommend spending part of an evening sitting on the lawn chairs that have a view directly of the lake out the back of the property. Such a beautiful view!

This hotel is possibly the best I have ever stayed in. It is pure luxury without feeling pretentious. All the staff are so kind and helpful, the food is amazing, the rooms were perfect and the views were sublime. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will most definitely be going back.
